Blackout Wednesday is hitting South Miami, and Kitchen 57 is doing it right. The mid-century gem you already love for its mid-century modern charm is stretching the party way past sundown—with happy hour rolling until 8 p.m. and the doors staying open until 11. Translation: your pre-Thanksgiving warm-up just found its headquarters.

Expect discounted wines by the glass, domestic beers, and the ultimate steal—half off all drinks under $13. The bar bites also stay in HH mode, so you can graze on all the good stuff while plotting tomorrow’s feast. And because Kitchen 57 always goes the extra mile, expect a special Thanksgiving cocktail on deck and DJ Element spinning to keep the vibes high. Consider this your official excuse to start the holiday early. Kitchen 57 understood the assignment.

Thursday, November 27: Thanksgiving at Beauty and the Butcher

Thanksgiving at Beauty and the Butcher hits a little different—cozy, a little cheeky, and just elevated enough to feel like you’re doing the holiday right. Instead of the usual dry turkey situation, Chef Jeremy serves up an herb-marinated turkey breast that’s juicy, fragrant, and basically the glow-up the classic always needed.

The sides keep the feast going: Yukon whipped potatoes that are cloud-level creamy, sautéed green beans with that perfect snap, and a Grand Marnier cranberry jam to tie it all together in the best way. Oh, and let’s not forget the black pepper gravy. Delish. If you need a cocktail to finish the evening off right, the Little Piggy (hickory-smoked pork belly-washed bourbon with fig nectar and blackstrap bitters) is it for us.

Saturday, November 29: Dinner at the Newly Opened AVA MediterrAegean

This Saturday, we’re heading back for dinner at AVA MediterrAegean in Coconut Grove, and yes, it’s as good as everyone’s been saying. Riviera Dining Group’s flagship brings Greek island minimalism with a Miami twist—custom furnishings, commissioned art, and all the cozy-luxe energy.

On the menu, find highlights like Aegean tuna ceviche, Mediterranean seabass carpaccio, lobster pasta, and lamb moussaka. Shareable plates, bold flavors, and stellar presentation. Pair it with a glass from their global wine program and let Thanksgiving weekend continue to unfold in slow, delicious style.

AVA MediterrAegean Coconut Grove is located at 2889 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133. For more information, visit their official website.

Sunday, November 30: Sunday Brunch at Barsecco

What to Do in Miami This Week [Nov 24-30] - AVA MediterrAegean, Barsecco, Beauty and The Butcher, Kitchen 57, weekly - January 2026

Sunday plans? Easy. We’re rolling straight into Barsecco, because we’re absolutely still doing brunch after Thanksgiving. Brickell’s favorite brunch playground stays effortlessly glam—sunny patio breeze, plush couches, a live DJ easing you back into humanity, and unlimited mimosas from noon to 4 like we didn’t just survive a turkey marathon.

First-timers, do it right: hit the Smoked Salmon Tower—Norwegian salmon, a stack of bagels, and the full shmear spread. The pistachio cannoli French toast will convert any brunch cynic, the flat iron steak & eggs with red wine demi keeps things classy, and the Buongiorno breakfast, complete with Captain Crunch French toast, is your “yes, I’m still hungry, don’t judge me” moment. It fills up fast— slide in early and brunch like Thanksgiving never happened.
