Art Basel is wild. Crowds everywhere, nonstop everything, and more tiny bites than any human should ever survive on. When you finally need an actual meal, we have you covered. These are the restaurants that bring you back to life between fairs, after parties, or whenever your energy crashes hardest.
Bakalo

In a week full of lines, noise, and shoulder-to-shoulder openings, Bakalo is a secret little island of calm. Sit down inside this Miami Beach gem and everything slows down, giving you a chance to catch your breath. The Mediterranean menu is full of delights like spanakopita, fire-roasted eggplant, lamb chops, and shrimp saganaki. It’s great, clean food dialed in—we can’t ask for more.
Coney Burger
Skip the canapés and hit up Coney Burger in Downtown. Because after hours of nibbling on delicate little bites and pretending you’re full, what you really want is something substantial—like one of the best burgers in Miami. You can never go wrong with the OG Classic Burger, but if you’re feeling fancy (this is Basel after all), treat yourself to the Wagyu Champ Burger with yuzu aioli. You deserve it, especially after Basel has drained your soul.
Coney Burger is located at 1306 N Miami Ave, Suite 1A, Miami, FL 33136. For more information, visit their official Instagram.
Daniel’s
When your day has been nothing but back-to-back galleries and overstimulation, Daniel’s feels like a luxurious detox. The focus is simple: great beef, cooked right. Australian stone axe wagyu flat iron, DemKota heritage elite prime filet mignon, Upper Iowa prime New York strip… They take their meat seriously. Pair these cuts with an old-fashioned and a few comfort-heavy sides, and your whole system resets. The feeling is worth every cent.
Daniel’s is located at 1500 San Ignacio Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33146. For more information, visit their official website.
Finka Table and Tap
Too much art, not enough food? Escape to Finka. Think spicy, saucy, crunchy, comforting—all on one table. Korean, Cuban, Peruvian… these influences combine in the tastiest way here: fried alligator jalea, brisket wonton ravioli, and lomo saltado fried rice are just some examples; the cocktail menu is equally playful. Come hungry. Leave revived.
Finka Table and Tap is located at 14690 SW 26th St, Miami, FL 33175. For more information, visit their official website.
Paperfish Sushi
Paperfish is pure Basel energy: sleek, buzzy, and fast enough to keep up with your itinerary. The Nikkei-inspired plates come out bright and bold, from citrusy tiraditos and ceviches to beautiful rolls that are edible art. Come for a quick bite and then get back into the action. And make sure ot take advantage of their generous happy hour, if schedules align.
Primo’s
When you’re tired of the neon and noise, Primo’s is the antidote. This place is classic in the best way: old-school Italian comfort without even a hint of pretense. Picture big portions and plenty of pasta, pizza, and parms. For anyone trying to stay sane during art week, Primo’s has you covered.
