At the mention of pasta bake, it’s hard for any peckish gut to avoid an impetuous growl. Or unfed mouth to avoid salivation. Or sailor to continue in harsh articulation—because yes, by now, easy pasta bake has earned its keep in the eyes of humankind. It’s a dish that dates back all the way to the Middle Ages (way back there). Over time, it eventually became one of many easy dinner recipes found throughout the world. The Italians have called it piatto unico, lending reverence to the ‘single dish,’ which serves as a complete meal.
This specific baked penne pasta recipe uses just a few simple ingredients at perfect proportions: cherry tomatoes, oregano, garlic, and feta cheese, which dates back to at least 700 B.C. Greece. Not only it’s delicious, but it’s also one of those easy healthy recipes you can use without thinking twice. While cherry tomatoes are packed with vitamin C and immunity-boosting antioxidants, oregano is a great antibacterial, with fiber, calcium, and manganese to boot. Also, garlic, another ancient food, comes equipped with a milieu of health-benefiting properties. Add this to your collection of easy pasta recipes come family dinner night!
