Miami Film Festival: Burgundy Screening and Q&A with Michael Dweck
Mon, Nov 2, 7 p.m.
$16.50 general admission, plus fees
The filmmakers behind The Truffle Hunters are back with Burgundy, a documentary that slips inside the region’s wine culture, where ritual and inheritance shape every bottle. Directed by Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw, it follows an aspiring sommelière training under one of the greats, a young vineyard worker eyeing a life he has only admired from afar, an aristocratic winemaker defining his legacy, and a legendary maître d’hôtel searching for his heir. After premiering at Venice and playing Telluride and San Sebastián, the film makes its Florida premiere at Miami Film Festival’s GEMS program, and Dweck, who recently moved to Miami, stays for a Q&A moderated by Stephanie Rosen of Insight with Stephanie. It screens one night only, Monday, November 2, at 7 p.m. at Silverspot Cinema in Downtown, and general admission tickets are $16.50 plus fees ($15.50 for seniors, students, and military).
