Día de los Muertos cocktails at Toro Toro

Día de los Muertos at Toro Toro

Tue, Oct 6 – Tue, Nov 3

Tiradito $26; cocktails $18 ($14.99 during Golden Hour, 4-6 p.m.)

Chef Richard Sandoval brings his annual Día de los Muertos celebration back to Toro Toro, his Pan-Latin steakhouse at InterContinental Miami, from October 6 through November 3. This year’s theme, El Sol, honors those who came before through the warmth, light, and memories they leave behind.

The limited menu is available à la carte seven days a week. Start with the Luz de Mar tiradito ($26)—salmon and sea bass in saffron aguachile with mango relish, salsa macha, crispy sweet potato, and marigold. The themed cocktails are $18 each, including the Sol, made with sparkling wine, pomegranate liqueur, marigold syrup, mango purée, and orange bitters, and the DDLM sangria with red wine, aged rum, piloncillo grenadine, agave, passion fruit, cinnamon, and mango.

For a better deal, stop by for Golden Hour, Toro Toro’s daily happy hour from 4-6 p.m. at the bar, Spindle, and the lounge, when the Día de los Muertos cocktails drop to $14.99. Sandoval also hosts a one-night-only pairing dinner on Thursday, October 8.
