Chiles en nogada topped with walnut sauce and pomegranate seeds at Cantina La Veinte

Mexican Independence Day Celebration at Cantina La Veinte

Tue, Sep 15 · All day

Cantina La Veinte celebrates the eve of Mexican Independence Day on Tuesday, September 15, with live mariachis, DJ entertainment, and traditional Mexican flavors on the Brickell waterfront. Around 11 p.m., the restaurant will mark El Grito with cheers of “¡Viva México!” to kick off the Independence Day festivities.

For the occasion, try the chiles en nogada: a poblano chile filled with picadillo and topped with creamy walnut sauce and pomegranate seeds, reflecting the green, white, and red of the Mexican flag. The dish is available throughout September, alongside Cantina’s tequila and mezcal offerings.

The celebration takes place in the evening; El Grito is scheduled for around 11 p.m. Contact the restaurant for the evening’s start time and reservations.
