#DishHitlist: Pinktober Specials, National Pasta Day, and New Fall Dishes

With restaurants offering new fall menus and limited-time dishes and cocktails in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October is full of opportunities to enjoy plenty of promotions, and help give back to a great cause. Here are 12 specials to check out this month! 

2 Korean Girls and Meat N’ Bone’s Dinner with Friends

What do you get when you bring 2 Korean Girls and Meat N’ Bone together? An amazing culinary experience featuring authentic Korean flavors and signature family recipes combined with hand-selected premium quality meats. The inaugural dinner experience, dubbed Dinner with Friends will take place on October 22 at UNDISCLOSED Miami. The evening will include welcome cocktails and an art reception by Korean American artist Rosanna Kallis, followed by an intimate speakeasy evening immersed in Korean culture with art, music, food, and soju. A 5-course menu curated by 2 Korean Girls and Meat N’ Bone will highlight both concepts’ love for BBQ and will be accompanied by a guided tasting of soju from the Jinro portfolio. 

Expect dishes such as homemade Napa cabbage kimchi caramelized in wok fried rice paired with grilled heritage pork belly; and G1-certified USDA Prime Korean short ribs wet aged for 30 days before being marinated for 24 hours and grilled.

La Romanita Launches Breakfast

Hialeah’s newest eatery, La Romanita, has launched breakfast, available Wednesday-Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Menu items include classic eggs benedict with lomo ahumado English muffin, served with hollandaise sauce; French toast made with thick-cut challah bread, cinnamon, maple syrup, and Vermont butter; and organic Scottish smoked salmon bagel, served with shaved red onions, capers, cucumbers, tomatoes, hard-boiled egg, and cream cheese.

Osteria Morini Celebrates National Pasta Day

Any holiday that promotes stuffing our faces with endless carbs seems like a good holiday indeed. Osteria Morini is celebrating this one with a special edition of $15 Monday Pasta Night on October 17, featuring a limited-time special of Rotolo bolognese bianco made with parmigiano fonduta and crispy kale. If you miss it on that day, the special will also be available throughout the week of October 18-23 for $26.

Pura Vida Launches Five New Menu Items

Among them, a treat for our furry friends. Next time you pop by Pura Vida, be sure to look out for Omer’s post-workout smoothie with blueberry, banana, spinach, almond butter, almond mylk, and vegan vanilla protein; the Meditteranean tomato salad with a roma and cherry tomato blend, sliced cucumbers, red onion, bell peppers, arugula, marinated olive tapenade, crumbled feta, and lemon vinaigrette; the roasted beet hummus, homemade hummus blended with beets, drizzled with olive oil, chickpeas, zaatar, micro cilantro, and served with toasted pita; and the raspberry pistachio croissant dipped in ruby chocolate. As for that pup snack, check out the pumpkin spice dog macaron. 

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, all throughout October, a portion of all proceeds from the roasted beet hummus and raspberry pistachio croissant Sales will be donated to 305 Pink Pack.

Wildfire by Meat n’ Bone & Magic Mike Live Tour

MAGIC MIKE LIVE has partnered with Meat N’ Bone, to create Wildfire, a new restaurant concept from North America’s premier purveyor of quality steaks, seafood, and fine foods.

MAGIC MIKE LIVE: The Tour will share the spotlight during its time in Miami with a full-service dining experience at Wildfire, which opens October 13 and is already accepting reservations for a limited number of bookings Wednesday-Sunday. Wildfire’s menu promises to ignite guests’ passion for fresh, innovative cuisine with a chef-driven menu featuring highlights such as wagyu beef carpaccio, Colorado wagyu BMS7+ beef served with pepper, olive oil, and Parmigiano Reggiano; champagne risotto, with creamy risotto featuring Parmigiano Reggiano, champagne and a bit of wildfire; wagyu tomahawk, 32 ounces of delicious Colorado wagyu marble score BMS7+ and wet-aged for 30 days to achieve the perfect tenderness; and more. Teerak by EST. 33 Thai Craft Brewery & Kitchen

For National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, each of these Miami restaurants is honoring the month and supporting breast cancer research with special items on the menu and events throughout October

2 Korean Girls at Shelborne South Beach

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 2 Korean Girls is inviting diners to enjoy their signature cocktail, the last Imoogi, made with bright pink dragon fruit and served with a swirl of rose gold shimmer, Domain de Canton, citrus, orange bitters, and an edible flower. All proceeds will be donated to the Miami Dolphins Challenge Cancer program, which raises funds for cancer research at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami.

Casa Sensei

To celebrate the month, Casa Sensei has created a new cocktail called pink sunrise, a glass of white rum, lime juice, mint, prickly pear, sugar, and soda water. The restaurant will also be offering a limited-time pretty in pink roll, a pink roll made with shrimp tempura, avocado, garlic kimchi, and Kani wrapped in pink rice and topped with tuna and spicy mayo, served with Casa special sauce. A portion from the pink drink and roll sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

EST. 33 Thai Craft Brewery & Kitchen

To celebrate the month, EST. 33 has crafted a limited-time pink cocktail dubbed he Teerak, meaning “daring” in Thai. The cocktail will feature white rum, guava, and watermelon. A portion of the proceeds from drink sales will be donated to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation

LPM Restaurant & Bar

LPM will donate all proceeds from a specialty cocktail and dessert in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. The LMP club cocktail features gin, fresh basil, raspberry and elderflower, while the pink October dessert includes vanilla mousse, with raspberry compote and an almond biscuit.

Mehzcla at Balfour Hotel

Throughout October, Mehzcla will be serving an ensalada rusa, made with pink-potato mash, roasted red beets, pickled hard-boiled egg, purple carrots, and watermelon radish,drizzled with garlic oil. All proceeds from this dish will be donated to a supporting cause to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Shoma Bazaar

Shoma’s special Breast Cancer Awarenss offerings include two cocktails: the pink pom martini with Atian Rose gin, pomegranate, pomegranate seeds, and a sugar rim; and the lady in pink with coconut-infused vodka, farnished with a lime wheel, oregano, and edible orchid. All proceeds from the cocktails will be donated to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
