For some April means serious spring cleaning, for us, it means heavy-duty spring eating. Considering the rate and speed at which Miami’s restaurant scene continues to expand, can you blame us? Here are 10 new, upcoming, or reopening spots to read through and—most importantly—eat through soon as you get a chance.
Coming soon to Coconut Grove, Bayshore Club is Grove Bay Hospitality’s newest addition to their restaurant roster, which includes several eateries including Akoya, Stubborn Seed, and Glass & Vine. The waterfront restaurant will be located inside the Regatta Harbour Complex and guests can arrive by land or sea for their dining experience. The travel-inspired restaurant states, “guests will be swept away by unassumingly delicious food, a bar list to please any aficionado, and an atmosphere that creates escape—even if only momentarily.” Bayshore Club Miami is poised to open this spring.

Evening Entertainment Group (EEG) is opening its first Miami location in Wynwood, an Arizona-based, high-energy concept called Bottled Blonde Pizzeria and Beer Garden. Known as a destination for sports and entertainment that will feature contemporary Italian cuisine and over-the-top cocktails, the eatery will consist of 9,000 square feet of open-air space with rustic charm and whimsical installations of pin-up girls, along with artistic nods to the classic East Coast brewery.
Sports enthusiasts will be happy to learn about their 49 HDTVs, two 24-foot projector walls, two 15-foot LED walls, and large premium booths and tables—ideal for game watching. Guests will see a variety of seasonal college, professional sports, and UFC fights. By evening, Bottled Blonde converts into a nightclub complete with high-tech sound and lighting systems, VIP tables with private wait staff, unique bottle service presentations, and sparkler shows.
Menu highlights include appetizers like the bang bang cauliflower with sweet Calabrian chili sauce, crème fraiche, and basil; entrées like beer butt chicken with beer brined half chicken and crispy fingerling potatoes; Pizzas such as the principle with tomato, sausage, roasted peppers, red onion, and oregano or funghi with roasted mushrooms, goat cheese, arugula, chive, and truffle oil; as well as a variety of sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes, and desserts.

Israeli Masterchef Tom Aviv is bringing his talents to South Florida with his latest eatery, Branja. Branja, meaning “group of friends,” will be a warm spot with Telavivian vibes combining global and Israeli flavors.

This new Hallandale spot is exactly what it sounds like, an outdoor dining venue complete with a vintage carousel. Located inside the Gulfstream Park, Carousel Club is the brainchild of the same team behind the Wharf, the owners of Gulfstream Park and Breakwater Hospitality Group; much like the Wharf, it offers multiple patio areas to socialize, eat and drink. Expect numerous food vendors there, such as Ms. Cheezious and Spris Artisan Pizza; along with multiple spacious areas to socialize, eat and drink; as well as life-sized games on the lawn.

Pilo’s Tequila Garden is launching a new space inside their venue dubbed frozeritas. Frozeritas is both the name of the physical location as well as their new branded cocktail, which will be the theme of the space and which consists of a tequila-based drinking experience featuring frozen margaritas made with various flavor combos, organic ingredients, and top-flight agave-based spirits.
According to hospitality partner Derek Gonzalez, “Frozaritas are made with top-shelf tequila, organic mixers, authentic Mexican inspirations, and all-natural ingredients. They’re a far cry from the sugary, frozen drinks customers are accustomed to.”

Coral Gables’ much anticipated modern American eatery is ready to take over the former Eating House spot sometime in May. The restaurant, helmed by chef/owner Michael Bolen, will feature an eclectic, seasonally-focused, tasting menu with items such as beef coulotte aged in koji and slowly grilled, served with charred cabbage sabayon and a salt and vinegar hash brown; Nori tart with sour cream and onion, trout roe and matcha; and kanpachi with a gelee of fermented tomato dashi and preserved green strawberry.

James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein and the team behind Sweet Liberty have partnered up to bring Time Out Market a new fast-casual spot dubbed Little Liberty. The all-American concept will feature gourmet burgers by Bernstein and boozy milkshakes by a world-renowned bartender and creative beverage director Naren Young.
Menu highlights include the signature Smashburger, Little Liberty’s version of a classic burger; the dirty smashburger with crumbled blue cheese and bacon jam; The steakhouse, ground chicken burger, filet-o-snapper, the vegan burger, and more. Dishes can be paired with items like crispy mozzarella balls, house fries, beer-battered onion rings, and deviled eggs.
As for the boozy and non-boozy shakes, expect signatures like the grasshopper made with vodka, crème de menthe, crème de cacao, chocolate, and mint ice cream; and a banana foster made with aged rum, roasted banana liqueur, cinnamon, salted caramel, vanilla ice cream, and walnuts.

José Mendin is ready to expand his Miami footprint once again. In partnership with J’Adore Hospitality, Mendin is bringing Moloko to Miami for its very first location in the U.S. The eatery will take over the former Soul Tavern space in Sunset Harbour. A mix of modern Japanese-Mediterranean flavors and a French-Miami atmosphere, Moloko Miami is expected to be much like its Parisian sister restaurant. No word on the exact opening date, though if you’d like to stay updated, you can visit their website and opt to be notified once they open.

At long last, Miami’s iconic News Café is reopening its shuttered doors. Closed during the start of the pandemic, News Café is making a welcome comeback, this time at the Tony Hotel in South Beach (formerly The Hotel of South Beach). Though Goldman Properties has purchased the property from the founding owner Mark Soyka, plans are for the concept to remain as faithful to the original as possible.

Fried rice, sushi, and churros? Why not! Wynwood’s Oasis just acquired three new restaurants in one unit, Poke OG, Papi Churro, and Miss Crispy. Partners Andrew Mayer and Ryan Leto (owners of Poke OG and Mr. Omakase) have joined forces with local influencers Samantha Schnur of Naughty Fork and Yanni Georgoulakis of Foodie Fetish, along with model Cindy Prado on their latest venture. All three restaurants are set to open this month.
