Elastika

It’s not often that a restaurant’s ambiance is equally impressive as the food itself, but Elastika inside the landmark Moore building in the heart of Miami Design District does just that. From a striking Zaha Hadid sculpture suspended above the four-story atrium to executive chef Joe Anthon’s beautifully plated cuisine, the wow factor is undeniable. Slide into a chic sage-green banquette and savor fabulous dishes like the must-order Florida tomato gazpacho with pickled tomatillos and avocado, served with crusty fennel pollen focaccia. Additional menu highlights include eggplant and sheep’s milk ravioli serviettes with chanterelle mushrooms, toasted hazelnuts, and Florida sweet corn, and the grilled heritage pork “ribeye” with Tiny Farm’s turnips, grilled broccoli rabe, and red verjus-cardamom sauce. One of the most delightful surprises is the cheese presentation, which you can order after dinner as a pre-dessert treat.  Elastika’s sommelier comes tableside, wheeling a cheese cart, and presents the finest selections alongside flavorful accompaniments. Elastika is one of those refreshing, new MDD spots that’s sure to be added to your favorites list.

Elastika is located at 191 NE 40th St., Miami, FL 33137. For more information, please visit their official website

La Pata Gorda

Coral Gables continues to add to its roster of exciting dining options with the arrival of La Pata Gorda, Miami’s first outpost of the renowned Ecuadorian seafood chain. Offering a culinary journey that celebrates Ecuador’s rich flavors, La Pata Gorda invites guests to start with indulgent crab croquettes made from mangrove crab meat and sweet, spicy plantains. Fresh ceviche options abound, including jipijapa LPG, shrimp, and pesca blanca, all prepared with authentic Ecuadorian ingredients for an unparalleled experience. Embrace the restaurant’s playful side with a seafood tower or dive into the thrill of crab-hammering—enjoying the freshness of Ecuadorian crabs right at your table, a signature delight at La Pata Gorda. Located on Miracle Mile, this dining destination promises an adventure in Ecuadorian cuisine that is as vibrant and authentic as it is delicious.

La Pata Gorda is located at 232 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134. For more information, please visit their official website

Miami Beach’s newest hotspot, Pamplemousse on the Bay, is swiftly becoming the talk of the town. Located within Southgate Towers, this chic restaurant combines Mediterranean and Latin flavors with a focus on fish, seafood, and meats. Indulge in exquisite dishes like Wagyu beef carpaccio with black truffle, Chilean sea bass served alongside poached baby green asparagus and romesco sauce, and a decadent black Angus bone-in ribeye complemented by a red wine au jus sauce. Pamplemousse also offers a great happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, with drinks priced at $12 and under.
