Tuesday, April 22: Earth Day at 1 Hotel South Beach

This April, 1 Hotel South Beach is honoring Earth Month with a curated lineup of refined, eco-conscious experiences that reflect the hotel’s deep commitment to sustainability. Blending understated luxury with environmental intention, the programming invites both guests and locals to reconnect with nature in meaningful ways. On Tuesday, April 22, the Earth Pulse Sunset Experience offers a quiet moment of restoration—a barefoot grounding ritual on the beach guided by Sabrina of Kanekshun. Through breathwork and stillness, participants will realign with the natural rhythm of the Earth as the sun sets over the Atlantic.

Throughout the month, guests can also enjoy the Sapphiros Bay—a thoughtful Earth Month cocktail featuring sustainably sourced Bombay Sapphire, St. Germain, coconut-spirulina syrup, and lime. Available across the hotel’s dining venues, it’s a subtle nod to celebration with purpose. Get your tickets for the Earth Day event beforehand.

1 Hotel South Beach is located at 2341 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.

Wednesday, April 23: National Picnic Day with Ironside Pizza

Picnic Day calls for something elevated—and we’re not talking about your average sandwich and soda situation. When in Miami’s Upper East Side, we curate our alfresco feast the Ironside Pizza way. This stylish Neapolitan pizzeria brings the soul of Italy to a breezy, design-forward enclave, serving wood-fired pies that rival any you’d find in Napoli itself.

Ironside Pizza does amazing takeout, and our go-tos include one of the restaurant’s paninis made with fresh-baked artisan bread, a salad, or, if we’re lounging out in the sun with a bigger group, pizza. Our order? A margherita, naturally—fresh fior di latte, San Marzano sauce, and basil still warm from the garden. Maybe a mortadella and pesto panini for good measure, or a side of loaded Greek salad to keep things interesting. Grab it to go, find a shady spot under the palms, and elevate your mid-week lunch break to a new level.

Friday, April 25: National Steak Day at Costa Med

National Steak Day falls on Friday, April 25 this year, and we’re here to confess that Costa Med Bistro over in Key Biscayne serves a mean one. The menu at this Mediterranean-inspired gem is brimming with marine delicacies, pastas, and bonne bouche you won’t find just anywhere: foie gras with apple chutney and a port wine reduction, anyone?

The grill section alone, however, is definitely worth the drive out to Key Biscayne. Get seated in this cozy neighborhood bistro that’s welcomed its fair share of Miami’s crème de la crème, and go straight for the skirt steak, grilled to perfection. As a side, we recommend the Parmesan risotto, and of course, a glass of red.

Sunday, April 27: Seaview Lunch at CJ’s Crab Shack

This weekend, we’re elevating our seafood ritual with a dash of Old Bay and a sea breeze to match. CJ’s Crab Shack on Ocean Drive is our destination of choice, where the seafood is simply sublime. We’re gathering our crew and settling in for a laid-back yet lavish feast right by the water.

We start with beer-steamed shrimp, soaked in Cajun spice, followed by a crisp cascade of golden popcorn shrimp. Then comes the real showstopper: CJ’s Cajun Combo. Think snow crab clusters, baked oysters, Cajun shrimp, and a rich crab cake, all perfectly seasoned and paired with parmesan corn (our forever favorite). To round it out, think pitchers of signature daiquiris clinking in the sun, laughter rising above the waves, and zero regrets.
