Where to Celebrate National Croissant Day

National Croissant Day is Sunday, January 30. Not sure where to snag some of the best croissants in Miami? We’ve got you covered with these five fun picks.

Bachour Bakery & Restaurant

Why not celebrate National Croissant Day with a creation from one of the Best Pastry Chefs in the world? Antonio Bachour’s namesake bakery and restaurant has locations in Doral and Coral Gables, and each one boasts a lovely assortment of croissants.

One of the many highlights on the menu is the strawberry and mascarpone croissant, which should be mandatory eating. Other notable options include the pain au chocolat and the Rocher croissant. We know this is a croissant article, but we can’t talk about Bachour without mentioning all the other pastries, too. The raspberry-lychee macaron and the cookies and cream petite gateaux are also top sellers that should be top of mind.

Bachour Bakery & Restaurant has multiple locations in Miami. For more information, visit their official website

Cecile Bakery & Café

Come for the croissants and stay for brunch at Cecile Bakery & Café. The South Miami eatery is known for its fantastic croissants and pastries, as well as its delicious café menu. You could stop by for a quick almond chocolate croissant, but we recommend you also enjoy Cecile’s croissants in sandwich form. Their Eggs Benedict croissant is a looker and tastes absolutely divine.

Cecile Bakery & Café is located at 5744 Sunset Drive, Miami, FL 33143. For more information, visit their official website

L’Artisane Creative Bakery

In terms of croissant selections, L’Artisane Creative Bakery is home to one of the largest. The vegan bakery has everything from plain and double chocolate croissants to pecan and pumpkin spice croissants; there are over a dozen to choose from (not including any specials).

If it’s your first time, the plain and almond croissants are the most approachable. After you’ve tried those traditional offerings, we suggest branching out and getting adventurous with cookie butter or the dulce de leche cruffin. The eatery also offers an assortment of vegan croissant sandwiches including a croque monsieur croissant.

L’Artisane Creative Bakery is open at 2526 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Coral Gables, FL. For more information, visit their official website

Miami Diner

Start your day on the right foot with breakfast at Miami Diner. At either location—South Beach or Downtown Miami—you’ll find a hefty croissant sandwich to enjoy. This breakfast croissant is jam-packed with ham, egg, and swiss cheese. Make sure you pair it with some coffee because you’ll definitely need a nap afterward.

Miami Diner has multiple locations across Miami. For more information, visit their official website.

Thatch

We’ve raved about Thatch’s savory lunch and brunch items, but we haven’t talked about their pastries much. Shame on us: Their pastry shelf is the perfect place for grab-and-go delights. Aside from the donuts—a personal favorite—the croissants are a must. Heck, everything here is great including their cupcakes and cookies. But in honor of National Croissant Day, go with the namesake treat.

Thatch is located at  3255 NE 1st Avenue, Miami, FL 33137. For more information, visit their official website.
