Smoked Salmon Bruschetta Recipe

Like many contemporary delicacies, bruschetta too started off as a poor man’s food. Its origins date back to ancient times for certain, where exactly has been debated. However, during the 15th century, it became popular once and for all (we hope) as a quick snack for field workers in central Italy. Think speedy, delicious, and hearty sustenance—homemade bread (oftentimes gone stale), olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic. Nowadays, the bruschetta spirit thrives stronger than ever in the minds of cuisiniers and plates of gourmands—why not try your own hand at assembling this easy smoked salmon recipe!

What matters most when making authentic Italian bruschetta is simplicity. This easy bruschetta recipe utilizes the fresh and the best. Been thinking of what to do with that smoked salmon sitting in the fridge? This is a great smoked salmon appetizer recipe for small parties and plates beautifully! Plus, it’s packed with health benefits: Fresh parsley promotes bone health, and oregano helps reduce viral infections. Pistachios are full of fiber and potassium, and dill is great for vitamin C. Lastly, smoked salmon is an excellent provider of Omega-3 fatty acids, which may be hard to source depending on your diet. No wonder this classic throw-down has survived throughout the ages!
