4 New Year’s Resolution-Friendly Restaurants in Miami

Happy New Year! What’s your 2021 resolution? If you’re planning to eat healthier this year, these South Florida restaurants have you covered. Thanks to these tasty eateries, eating healthy food doesn’t mean eating boring food. Here’s to a new you!

Buya Izakaya + Yakitori

A big part of healthy eating is portion control. And when you’re dining out, controlling portion size can be difficult – if not impossible. Unless, of course, you visit a family-style eatery like Buya Izakaya + Yakitori.

At this Asian-inspired spot in Wynwood, portions are much more manageable because they’re designed for sharing. Items like pork belly buns, wagyu tataki, and Shiitake mushrooms are all large plates on their own, but are meant for anywhere from 2-4 people. As a result of all this sharing, you’re likely eating slower and enjoying company more, so you’ll be less likely to overindulge. It’s a win for your scale.

Buya is located at 250 NW 24th Street, Miami, FL 33127. For more information, visit their official website

Lilikoi Organic Living

Creative and hearty cuisine awaits at South of Fifth’s Lilikoi Organic Living. This feel-good gem is home to a wealth of diverse options that are equal parts nutritious and delicious. From breakfast to dinner, Lilikoi ensures guests leave full and satisfied.

The all-day menu at Lilikoi Organic Living runs the gamut from acai bowls and housemade banana bread to sous vide eggs Benedicts and breakfast burritos. Lunch-specific selections include a chicken and brie sandwich, tuna niçoise salad, vegan nacho platter and buckwheat ramen noodle soup.

Food is just part of the equation at Lilikoi Organic Living. The eatery is also known for its array of smoothies and fresh juices, such as the signature lemonade with ginger, mint and local wildflower honey. Beer, wine, tea and coffee are also available. There truly is something for everyone here on the expansive menu.

Lilikoi Organic Living is located at 500 South Pointe Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Cakes and pies like turmeric cheesecake and burnt passion fruit cheesecake are also up for grabs. If you can think of a food, Thatch likely has a vegan version of it.
