Bar Tulio’s: Wynwood’s Rising Star

Located in the heart of Miami’s vibrant art scene, Bar Tulio’s in Wynwood is a Mexican-inspired gem that brings a fresh perspective to traditional street food. Its creative flair and relaxed atmosphere make this spot a favorite for after-work gatherings and casual nights out (or the start of a long night). From tacos to tequila, you’ll find no shortage of delightful spins on classic Mexican dishes.

Elotes

Bar Tulio’s starters set the tone for a meal that’s anything but ordinary. Begin with the elotes, Mexican street corn slathered in mayonnaise, parmesan, and Tajin for a smoky kick, or dive into the chicken taquitos filled with a savory mix of chicken and cheese for a satisfying crunch. Want something lighter? The ceviche clasico combines fresh grouper and shrimp in aji rocoto and leche de tigre for a refreshing start to your meal.

Birria tacos

The main stars at Bar Tulio’s are the tacos, as this neighborhood eatery takes them to the next level. Their birria tacos, filled with slowly cooked braised short ribs and served with a dipping consommé, are a must-try—especially if you’re only ordering one thing. The carnitas tacos are equally satisfying, featuring tender pork, refried beans, guac, and queso fresco. Each bite bursts with flavor, while subtle twists elevate the experience. The tortillas are soft yet sturdy, perfectly complementing other delicious fillings like chorizo, grouper, lobster, and portobello mushrooms.

What sets Bar Tulio’s apart is its inclusivity. Their cauliflower tacos with avocado sauce and pico de gallo are a standout option for plant-based diners. If you’re not in the mood for tacos, the shrimp quesadilla or the Mexican rice bowl with chicken are equally satisfying choices, showcasing the kitchen’s skill in catering to all types of palates. The generous portions make it easy to share and try a variety of dishes, which is exactly what you should do; this menu is huge.

To complement the delectable bevy of options, Bar Tulio’s offers a well-curated drink list with a focus on—you guessed it—tequila and mezcal. Their signature Shirtless Margarita provides a perfect balance of heat and citrus, while the Endless Summer Paloma is refreshingly light and bubbly. And if you’d rather drink your dessert, the Ketel One Espresso Martini hits the spot (although you should really try the churros, too).

In a city renowned for its diverse culinary scene, Bar Tulio’s carves its own niche by offering a fresh, modern take on tasty Mexican cuisine. The combination of fun dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and an art-infused ambiance makes it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Wynwood.
