The Best Brunch in Downtown Miami

Downtown Miami is teeming with swanky brunch joints offering those beloved classics: restaurants compete for the best waffles, pancakes, and eggs benny while others on the scene provide lavish experiences of fresh sashimi and champagne. Whether you’re going for the classics or the fusion flare, Downtown has got it all.

Boulud Sud

If a Mediterranean brunch tickles your fancy, make your way to Boulud Sud during the weekend. At this Downtown gem, Chef Daniel Boulud whips up refined dishes from the Mediterranean coast, and the weekend menu is stocked with both elegant dishes and brunch classics. In the best tradition of the coastal region, we recommend coming here with a group of besties and starting brunch off with some shareables: the Mediterranean mezze includes a divine spicy Moroccan hummus, herb falafel, babaganoush, and muhammara. Oh, and if you think that freshly shucked East Coast oysters wouldn’t compliment the fair — think again. They are a glorious match if we may say so ourselves.

Other delectable options here include the steak and eggs, cooked to your liking, lamb bolognese spaghetti, or the Belgian waffles with maple syrup if you’re in the mood for something sweet. The cherry on top, however, is the bottomless beverage option. $35 for 2 hours, and you have choices way beyond the classic mimosa (as stellar as that always is). Our go-to: bottomless Sud, pomegranate, and bubbles, which happens to be just the perfect match for mezze and oysters!

Boulud Sud is located at 255 Biscayne Blvd Way, Miami, FL 33131. For more information, visit their official website.

Novikov

Put on your swankiest attire and head to Downtown Miami because this joint is for the sophisticated soul. Novikov, the neighborhood’s upscale Asian restaurant, serves up an elegant brunch buffet every Sunday, including bottomless drinks, but of course,

Epicureans have the choice of going for the signature package priced at $99 per person, or the premium for $199. Indulge in an array of dim sum, maki, and nigiri, as well as exceptional robata grilled branzino or the Novikov duck salad. Diners who opt for the premium package can start the experience off with unlimited Laurent Perrier Rose, lychee martinis, or even sake. Indulge in utterly lavish dishes like crab & caviar siu mai, wagyu ribeye, or honey truffle king crab legs. This is a brunch experience you’ll be dreaming about for days to come.

Novikov is located at 300 S Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33131. For more information, visit their official website.

Fiore Caffe

If you find yourself in Downtown Miami on any given day of the week looking for immaculate brunch options, stop by Fiore Caffe. No matter when pop by, you’re sure to be getting impeccable service in a casual brunchy atmosphere. Rest assured, Fiore is the ideal hub both for solo brunch sessions and outings with the besties.

The menu is loaded with decadent options from those warm and lazy childhood weekend mornings. It’s pancakes galore with strawberry cheesecake, pistachio, and blueberry options. The chicken and waffles here are raved about far and wide, but with their perfectly seasoned crispy fried chicken served atop a sweet potato waffle with a healthy shmear of maple butter. Drinks are also plentiful, with bottomless mimosas and sangrias flying left and right. We’re proper in love.

Fiore Caffe is located at 228 SE 1st St, Miami, FL 33131. For more information, visit their official Instagram page.

Verde

If delectable American fare, a waterfront view, and a post-brunch visit to the Perez Art Museum tickle your fancy, then run, don’t walk to Verde. Grab a seat on the open and breezy outdoor terrace overlooking Biscayne Bay and indulge in the locally inspired and seasonal brunch offerings.

The brunch menu, available every Saturday and Sunday, is short and sweet, featuring well-executed classics. Smoked salmon benedict is served with house-made latke; strawberry and sweet mascarpone pancakes are made with buttermilk pancake batter, lemon curd, and local strawberry basil compote; and the potato leek galette is a divinity in its own right of farm-fresh eggs and sweet caramelized leeks. The cocktail menu here also deserves proper respect with refreshing libations like the red basil sangria or the verde tonic made with fresh pressed cucumber juice.

Verde is located at 1103 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. For more information, visit their official website

Zuma

London-born minimalist chic izakaya Zuma serves up weekend brunch with the utmost finesse. There are various brunch packages to choose from here, including the classic food only, champagne, rose, or Dom Perignon packages, each of which is accompanied by a welcome tin of caviar. Regardless of the chosen package, foodies get unlimited snack options, access to the buffet, and a hot dish.

Treat yourself to live stations overflowing with the freshest sashimi, wagyu tataki, and oysters on the half shell. In the robataya section, you’ll find skewers fresh off the fire and delicate onsen eggs. Pair it all with kamameshi mushroom rice hotpot served with wild mushrooms and shaved truffles. Next, on to the hot dishes, available one per person but perfect for sharing — including saikyo miso black cod, chili-ginger grilled Chilean Seabass, or half-roasted lobster in shiso ponzu butter. Do you feel your taste buds tingling? All that’s left is to choose the perfect cocktail to compliment your brunch mood. Options include the shojo spritz, Japanese sangria, or the umami Mary. Kampai to brunch!

Zuma is located at 270 Biscayne Blvd Way, Miami, FL 33131. For more information, visit their official website.
