Casa Isola

Pasta is a date night staple, and Miami Beach’s Casa Isola is serving up some of the best selections in the city. Since it’s still a relatively new restaurant, it fills up fast so make a reservation for you and your boo.

That way, you won’t have to wait to enjoy dishes like rigatoni alla vodka and linguine vongole (a must for clam fans). And of course, there’s the veal chop parm that can easily feed both of you. Make sure to listen to any specials they might have, too. Decisions, decisions…

Omakase By Kazu

Omakases seem to be all the rage now, but trying them all to find the best ones can add up – fast. We’ve done the hard work for you: Your money is well spent at Omakase By Kazu.

The cozy concept behind Hachidori Ramen Bar in Little River is by reservation only and gives you a front row seat to some fantastic fare and hospitality by Chef Yoshikazu Ebina (ex-The Den at Azabu). The talented sushi chef will lead you through a multi-course affair of incredible fish and then some during each of the two nightly seatings. We don’t want to spoil things, so just know that this is one of the best omakase values in town.

Paperfish Sushi

For a more affordable sushi option, look no further than Paperfish Sushi for a memorable dining experience. The Brickell – and Miami Beach – hot spot fuses Peruvian and Japanese influences for one huge and delicious menu.

Appetizers like the ceviche and tiraditos are a nice, light way to start things before indulging in signature rolls like the shrimp katsu and salmon furai. Larger plates such as the miso black cod and slow braised short ribs are worth your while as well.

A full bar awaits you, as does a generous happy hour – start at the bar for a few drinks and then make your way to a table for a full-on meal. That’s our recommendation (and our go-to move).

Red South Beach

An intimate steakhouse experience is always a good idea for date night, and Red South Beach is the place to be. The iconic SoFi restaurant recently moved down the street into an upgraded space; expect things to look a little different if you were a regular. While the location has changed, the quality hasn’t: You can still expect a stellar steak – plus so much more.

Prime ribeye, prime filet mignon, prime bone-in porterhouse – name a cut of steak and it’s likely here. Aside from the signature meats, guests can opt for seafood towers, lemon garlic shrimp, truffle pasta, wild king salmon… the list goes on. Come hungry.

Talavera

Talavera is one of those restaurants that will leave you wanting more – in a good way. The Mexican eatery in Coral Gables serves up authentic Mexican cuisine that’s full of rich traditional flavors with a modern twist. The menu can be overwhelming for newcomers, but the friendly service will guide you through this amazing culinary journey.

That said, no meal here is complete without an order of queso fundido, melted Oaxaca and chihuahua cheese; it’s so decadent and delectable. Tacos, moles, flautas, enchiladas, grasshopper tostadas … this place has it all (including one heck of a mezcal and tequila collection.)
