Stick to traditional raw oysters by the half dozen or live a little with the South Beach restaurant’s baked version. Lobster Shack – the sister eatery to CJ’s Crab Shack – features just as many seafood bar delights. East coast oysters are a must at this South Beach institution, as are the stone crabs that come with a delicious homemade sauce. Given the name, it’s no surprise lobster cocktail makes an appearance – and it’s no surprise that it’s amazing. Other highlights include seared tuna, king crab, and snow crab. Monty’s Raw Bar

You can’t talk about raw bar selections without talking about Monty’s Raw Bar in Coconut Grove – raw bar is in its name. The Key West vibes here are perfect for slurping down some bivalves and noshing on conch salad, shrimp ceviche, and peel-and-eat shrimp. The other thing Monty’s is known for: specialty drinks. The Pain Remover is always a good time; just make sure to Uber home.

When you think of RED South Beach, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Odds are you’re thinking about the restaurant’s signature steaks. And while those are indeed worthy of your attention, the raw bar deserves some of the spotlight.
