Where to Eat a Late Lunch in Miami

Many restaurants open for lunch and then close until dinner service. While that’s not a problem for those who eat between noon and 2 pm, it can be inconvenient for those of us who eat lunch a little later. Thankfully, we can always count on these Miami restaurants for an off-hour meal.

Batch Gastropub

If your lunch time is closer to dinner time, then Batch Gastropub is the place to go; the Brickell restaurant opens at 4 p.m. for service. Grab a seat and nosh on duck potstickers, truffle fries, shrimp and lobster rolls, pulled pork sandwiches, and more. The beer selection here is extensive, so plan to stay awhile. The best part: Everything is reasonably priced, so you’ll leave with a full belly and wallet.

Buya Wynwood

Buya Wynwood is open from lunch to dinner with no break in service. So if you’re craving some tasty Japanese food at 3 or 4 pm, it has you covered. Enjoy specialties like karaage chicken, crispy Hamachi kama, tiger prawn, Tokyo street corn, and more; if you have the time, we strongly suggest the chef’s tasting for $60—it’s quite the deal. Buya also has plenty of beer and sake, too, if you’re feeling thirsty.

CJ’s Crab Shack

If you find yourself in South Beach craving some delicious seafood, pop into CJ’s Crab Shack on Ocean Drive. It’s open from noon to midnight every day, so a late lunch is never a problem here. Order the restaurant’s namesake selection or indulge in other notable bites like fish and chips, fried shrimp, grouper fingers, and steamed clams. Don’t leave without trying one of CJ’s Crab Shack’s signature libations—the Hurricane Molly packs a punch.

The Doral Yard

Looking for variety? The Doral Yard offers multiple options for a late lunch. You’ll find vendors like Yip (Asian), Un Pollo (Venezuelan), and Della Bowls (plant-based bowls) all available to satisfy your hunger with delectable dishes. Save room for dessert from vendors like Paletas Morelia (Mexican “popsicles”) or Santo Dulce (churros and ice cream). There’s something for everyone here.

Toscana Divino

Treat yourself to Toscana Divino for a late lunch, and you’ll never want to leave. The Brickell Italian spot serves up some mouthwatering dishes you won’t stop raving about. Highlights include the tuna tartare, the crab salad, filet mignon, lasagna, and torelli ricotta and spinach. This restaurant is one of the pricier options on the list, but you deserve the best.

Vista

Sunday through Thursday, you can stop at Vista anytime between noon and 10 pm for an exceptional meal. The Upper East Side hotspot is known for its creative offerings with Latin, American, and Italian influences. The menu is large and the portions are big, so if you’re here for lunch, we suggest sticking to tried-and-true pizzas, paninis, and salads. Don’t worry about missing out on the rest of the selections—you’ll be back.

Wabi Sabi

Hungry diners seeking a lighter option should look no further than Wabi Sabi. The NE 79th Street favorite is home to some incredible sushi and bowl options. Order a spicy tuna roll or a Hamachi bowl and keep things simple or go all out and try one of the restaurant’s signature tastings. No matter what you choose, your late lunch will certainly be delicious.
