6 Miami Beach Spots for Pre-Concert Bites

A great concert experience starts well before the opening act. Make a night of it with a pre-show dinner at one of these fantastic restaurants near the Fillmore Miami Beach. From casual bites to fine dining, we’ve got the perfect spot to kick off your evening.

Gao

Sizzling Beef Satay

For a taste of stellar Vietnamese cuisine, Gao is a standout choice. This spacious South of Fifth eatery offers delicious dishes that are perfect for sharing or enjoying solo before heading to the concert.

Start with the crispy spring rolls or prawns tempura to begin your meal on a high note (pun intended). The Hanoi pho is a comforting bowl of tender beef, rice noodles, and aromatic broth that’s both satisfying and energizing. If you’re in the mood for something bold, try the sizzling beef satay that’s dinner and a show. Just know that Gao is not within walking distance from the venue – you’ll have to drive or Uber, but it’s well worth it.

The Lobster Shack

For a laid-back vibe and flavors that hit the spot, Lobster Shack is a winner. Their buttery lobster rolls are loaded with fresh, delicious lobster meat and a touch of indulgence that’s hard to resist. Make sure you get some chowder fries or fish dip to round out the meal. Best of all, the Lincoln Road outpost is just a short stroll from the Fillmore – perfect for grabbing a quick, satisfying bite before the show.

Paperfish Sushi

Paperfish Sushi cranks up the energy before you even hit the Fillmore. This Japanese-Peruvian spot on Española Way proves fusion cuisine can be both playful and precise. Come hungry for their tuna crispy rice and wagyu dumplings that’ll wake up your taste buds, or dive into a shrimp katsu roll or some truffled scallops for something more substantial. Consider it your tasty launch pad for a night at the Fillmore.

Rao’s

Meatballs and music? The perfect pre-show combo! Before you lose yourself in the music at the Fillmore, find yourself at Rao’s Miami Beach. This iconic restaurant offers up a lively atmosphere, perfect for getting you in the mood for some live entertainment later. Enjoy tasty, classic Italian-American dishes – from their legendary meatballs to perfectly cooked pasta – while soaking in the fun setting. It’s a great way to start your night and a short walk from the Fillmore, so take your time.

Rao’s is located at 1601 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.

RED South Beach

For those looking to make the night extra special, RED South Beach is a top-tier choice. Known for its premium steaks and extensive wine list, this spot sets the tone for an unforgettable dine. Try their prime bone-in ribeye or indulge in their famous four-cheese macaroni. It’s about a 10-minute drive or Uber from the Fillmore, so plan accordingly to savor the experience without rushing.

The Window

If you have some time to kill before your Fillmore concert, consider a nice walk to The Window at the Joyce. About a 15-minute stroll from the concert hall, this to-go window (surprise) is the perfect place for picking up burgers and other American comfort food fare. Think fried fish sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, wings … you get the picture. You’ll be thankful for that walk after stuffing your face here.

The Window is located at 448 Española Way, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official Instagram page
