It’s time to clear your schedule, because September’s culinary scene is on fire, and you won’t want to miss a single bite!

Events in Miami This Month

National Linguini Day at Primo’s on Sunday, September 15

Join us on National Linguini Day for a meal at Primo’s, our favorite Italian restaurant over in Downtown Miami. The restaurant serves up a plethora of scrumptious dishes, but as we’ve mentioned — we’re here for the linguini. The long, flat pasta is known for being. A perfect match for seafood Primo’s has arguably the best linguine seafood in town that’s made fresh with a daily selection of sauteed seafood, garlic, and white wine. All that’s left is to pair the dish with a nice glass of chilled white wine.

National Cheeseburger Day at Batch on Wednesday, September 18

Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day at Batch Gastropub in Brickell with the epic Batch Attack Burger. This beauty is a flavor bomb, featuring a juicy brisket and short rib blend, topped with pecan-whiskey candied bacon, creamy “B1” aioli, a crispy Mac Attack croqueta, and cherrywood-smoked cheddar. Woah. Whiskey-caramelized onions add a savory punch, and truffle fries seal the deal. Want a twist? The BBQ Burger comes stacked with smoked cheddar, a beer-battered onion ring, and H.M. Root Beer BBQ sauce. Pair it with a craft cocktail or something fizzy on tap, and you’re in for a cheeseburger experience for the books.

Italian Food with Alvaro Perez Miranda at Hiyakawa on Tuesday, September 24

By now, Hiyakawa is known as Miami’s top destination for authentic Japanese omakase with soul. Led by the culinary visionary and Goodwill Ambassador of Japanese Cuisine, Alvaro Perez Miranda, this restaurant has almost no parallels when it comes to quality Japanese dining in all its senses. Not everyone knows, however, that before starting an empire of Japanese restaurants in the 305, Perez Miranda spent 15 years promoting Italian cuisine in Japan. On September 24, the chef and restaurateur will be cooking up some of his favorite Italian dishes at the ephemeral Hiyakawa. We encourage you to make your reservation now, as this event is not to be missed.

National Lobster Day at the Lobster Shack on September 25

Wednesday, September 25, marks National Lobster Day, and you know we’re all about the mighty crustacean. Miami has several locations where one can feast on this beautiful delicacy of the sea; however, one of them simply never disappoints, and that’s the Lobster Shack. It does have lobster in its name, after all. The shack serves up lobster in all forms you can imagine, from bisque to salads, mac and cheese to cocktails, tacos, and whole lobster boiled and ready for shucking. They are most famous, however, for their lobster rolls packed with entire claws and glistening with warm butter. We’re salivating at the thought alone.

Taco Tuesdays at Bar Tulio’s

If you haven’t caught on yet, we’re straight-up addicted to the madness that is Bar Tulio’s — and it’s not just because of the killer food. This new Mexican joint is serving up dishes and deals so well that you might just find yourself there every day (we sure do). Tuesdays? It’s taco chaos, with $1 off all tacos, $6 Mexican beers, and $10 Patron Silver shots. Let’s just say things get wild. Feeling bougie? If you want to keep things more affordable, the spicy chorizo or bacon-packed ground beef tacos are fire. And don’t sleep on their veggie options — cauliflower tacos with avocado sauce and roasted portobello with black beans? Next level. For the grand finale, grab a cold Dos Equis to wash it all down.
