Must-Try Drinks at 4 South Beach Hotspots

Great food is just one part of what makes a restaurant special. Another big factor: great drinks. Visit these four South Beach hotspots for some awesome libations.

Casa Isola

Casa Isola in Miami Beach is always busy. Crowds clamor for its amazing Italian cuisine, and its drink selection is just as amazing. Casa Isola doesn’t have a full bar, but you’ll hardly notice given its creative non-spirit cocktails and other tasty beverages.

Must-try drinks include Casa Isola’s signature spritzes: the Aperol (prosecco and club soda) and the Ginger (Lillet, prosecco, and ginger beer). Other highlights include the prosecco-peach and prosecco-strawberry bellinis.

Complementing these mixed drinks are a bevy of Italian wines and craft beers. When it comes to the latter, definitely check out the fruit-forward Alma Bali for something different.

Paperfish Sushi

Like a little bit of everything? Paperfish Sushi’s diverse drink offerings have you covered. From martinis and tropical drinks to plenty of beer and sake, Paperfish Sushi on Miami Beach features no shortage of options – there are even mocktails!

First timers should stick to the restaurant’s signature cocktails, as the wasabi martini and Paper Mule are unique twists on classics you won’t find elsewhere. To save some cash, take advantage of the restaurant’s daily happy hour; a deal like this is hard to find on South Beach.

RED South Beach

When we think of steakhouses, the drink of choice tends to be wine – they’re a match that’s hard to beat. At RED South Beach, wine is indeed a big focus; they have one of the largest wine lists on the beach. Another fun fact: The wine list is updated regularly, so there’s always something different. But did you also know that the neighborhood gem has killer cocktails?

RED’s cocktails run the gamut from bright and light to layered and stiff. Start with a Wildflower (gin, blueberry, raspberry, lemon) or Lychee Martini while you enjoy appetizers like Alaskan king crab cake and lemon garlic shrimp, and then sip a Hennessey-based The Ritz or Double Dirty Martini as you indulge in Certified Angus Beef prime bone-in filet and other succulent cuts. No matter what you choose, a good time is guaranteed.

Rum Room

As the name suggests, Rum Room specializes in, well, rum. At this Latin-inspired eatery, you’ll find traditional rum drinks like mojitos and dark and stormys as well as rum twists on classics like old fashioneds and negronis.

The menu is short and sweet, but every drink is perfectly balanced; even if you’re not a rum fan, you’ll likely find something to your liking. Complementing the beverage menu is a bevy of irresistible plates like fish dip nachos, salmon, pan con bistec, and pineapple upside down rum cake. In short, Rum Room is just a cool place to hang out.

Rum Room is located at 2100 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website
