The Best Miami Restaurants to Go on New Year’s Day

Where will you be celebrating the start of the New Year? If you’re looking for a memorable meal on January 1, you’ve come to the right place. The following restaurants will be open on New Year’s Day to help you kick off 2022 with a bang.

Casa Isola

Your resolutions don’t technically start until Monday, January 3rd, so load up on carbs at Miami Beach’s Casa Isola. The Italian eatery’s menu is packed with tasty pasta dishes and Italian specialties to help you overcome any hangover from last night’s festivities. Nosh on delectable items like the rigatoni alla vodka, arancini, and bucatini alla gricia. Or go all out with the restaurant’s veal chop parm—you deserve it.

Casa Isola is located at 1418 20th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

CJ’s Crab Shack

CJ’s Crab Shack in Miami Beach will be open for lunch and dinner on New Year’s Day. Make sure to stop by for the Miami Beach restaurant’s signature snow crab and king crab entrees, as well as a bevy of other delightful seafood selections. Some highlights are the fried shrimp, grouper fingers, seafood pasta, and the monstrous fisherman’s platter (fish, shrimp, scallops, and a crab cake). There are also affordable specialty drinks galore—cheers!

CJ’s Crab Shack is located at 600 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Costa Med

For a more upscale experience, Costa Med in Key Biscayne will be open for dinner service on New Year’s Day. The entire regular menu will be available, including burrata and prosciutto, Creole tuna tataki, lobster ravioli, Greek-style branzino, and more. This is a place that offers a little bit of everything, so it’s perfect if you can’t decide on a particular cuisine.

Costa Med is located at 260 Crandon Boulevard, #46, Key Biscayne, FL 33149. For more information, visit their official website.

Lightkeepers at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne

On New Year’s Day, Lightkeepers is offering a Recovery Breakfast/Brunch with action stations served by the culinary team from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., priced at $55 per adult and $20 per child (excluding tax and gratuity). Lobster Shack

Both South Beach locations of Lobster Shack will be open regular hours on January 1st. Mareva 1939 at The National Hotel

Pubbelly Sushi

With locations throughout Miami, you’re never too far from a Pubbelly Sushi. The Asian-inspired eatery will be open regular hours on January 1, so guests can enjoy bites like tuna pizza, rock shrimp tempura, wagyu beef tartare, pork belly buns, and more. Sake cocktails are also a must here as they make for a beautiful Instagram post (and they taste great, too).

RED South Beach

Treat yourself to an unforgettable January 1 meal at RED South Beach. The iconic steakhouse is home to some of the best beef in the city, but they also have a ton of other tasty options. A few items that should be on your shortlist: Maine lobster cocktail, mussels diavolo, linguini and clams, and the stuffed lobster tail. Expect to roll out of here.

Riviera Focacceria

Midtown gem Riviera Focacceria is the neighborhood go-to for all things Italian. The Wagyu Bar

A more casual steakhouse experience awaits at The Wagyu Bar. The Coral Way establishment prides itself on serving up delicious—and unique—cuts of steak in a more laidback environment. You’ll find traditional options like ribeye and filet mignon alongside more uncommon fare like Denver steak and cowboy steak. There are plenty of non-steak dishes, too: ora king salmon steak, Iberico pork chop, African tiger prawns, and more.
