Primo’s Miami: Downtown’s Premier Italian Eatery

Located in Downtown’s DoubleTree Grand Hotel, Primo’s Miami is your go-to spot for irresistible Italian fare. This cozy eatery blends chic surroundings with mouthwatering dishes, making it a standout choice for both locals and visitors.

Step into Primo’s, and you’re immediately greeted by the friendliest of staffs—a staff that will help set the stage for everything from date night to a fun meal with friends. The menu here is a flavor-packed journey through Italy. Start with the all-beef meatballs—the special spices and whipped ricotta elevate this classic starter. Or dive into the tuna tartar, a generous portion of fresh tuna, avocado, and truffle cream; it’s simple yet absolutely delicious.

Rigatoni Bolognese

For pasta fans, Primo’s doesn’t disappoint. The spaghetti and meatballs are a dish you’ve had before but not done this well; the different cheeses add a delectable depth to an already tasty main. Looking for something with seafood? The linguine showcases a daily selection of sauteed seafood in a garlic and white wine sauce that’s both light and memorable.

Pizza lovers will also be thrilled with Primo’s creations. The margherita is a classic, topped with creamy mozzarella, San Marzano tomato, and fresh basil. Does your diet start next week? The prosciutto and mushroom calzone is a monster, and each bite is a taste of heaven.

Classic Ceasar Salad

Guests also have plenty of non-pizza and non-pasta options, including an assortment of sandwiches and burgers. The main attraction on this section of the menu is Primo’s namesake burger. This creation features no shortage of ingredients: Angus beef patty, cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, mushroom, house-made pickles, fried egg, roasted garlic, and chipotle sauce. There’s a lot going on, but the impressive blend of ingredients just works; it’s an explosion of flavors. That said, this burger is something that you should definitely enjoy in moderation.

Tiramisu

Our last tip: Save room for dessert! The tiramisu is a traditional creamy and coffee-soaked delight. Other notable options include the Caribbean rum cake, crème brulee and warm brownie. You really can’t go wrong with any of them, and you should consider ordering two if you have the room.

Whether you’re a newcomer or a regular, Primo’s offers fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more. And in a city brimming with dining choices, it rises above the rest with its unbeatable food, inviting ambiance, and exceptional service. Don’t just take our word for it, though: Discover for yourself why this Downtown Miami gem is a must.
