The 9 Best Restaurants for Private Dining in Miami

Dining out is an experience. One way to enhance that experience is private dining. Whether you’re looking to host a large party or a small gathering with your closest friends, these Miami restaurants have you covered with multiple options.

Amara at Paraiso

Amara at Paraiso is one of those places that needs no introduction. The view—and the restaurant—have been lauded in lists in both local and national media. The Latin-inspired menu features tasty selections like yuca cheese bites, chicken empanadas, grilled local fish, and bone-in ribeye. Private dining options here are plentiful: You can opt for an intimate meal in the upstairs dining room, a celebration on the outdoor rooftop terrace, or stick to the main dining room. Parties of all sizes can be accommodated; a total buyout has a capacity of 300 seated guests.

Amara at Paraiso is located at 3101 NE 7th Avenue, Miami, FL 33137. For more information, visit their official website.

Ariete

Coconut Grove’s acclaimed New American-meets-New World eatery doubles down on its intimate ambiance with The Cave, its underground private dining space. The locale can accommodate all sorts of events including birthday parties, business dinners, and this writer’s engagement party. Guests have the choice of dinner packages that highlight the restaurant’s innovative cuisine; menus and pricing vary depending on the group size, but one thing doesn’t: Ariete’s quality.

Ariete is located at 3540 Main Highway, Coconut Grove, FL 33133. For more information, call 305-640-5862 or visit their official website.

Edge Steak & Bar

Located at Four Seasons Hotel Miami, Edge Steak & Bar has a reputation for great meats. While the main stars here are steaks like the wagyu New York strip and prime porterhouse, there are so many other highlights including the chorizo and cheddar croquetas, spinach, and ricotta ravioli, and the beloved wedge salad with wagyu beef bacon. For more privacy, consider reserving the small private dining room (12 guests max) or the large private dining room (22 guests max). Larger parties can select the Edge terrace for a beautiful outdoor setting.

Edge Steak & Bar is located at 1435 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL 33131. For more information, visit their official website

Glass & Vine

Glass & Vine’s private dining options are among the more unique on this list, mainly due to its predominantly outdoor seating areas. The Coconut Grove restaurant doesn’t offer a truly private experience unless you buy out the place—an option that may not fit most people’s budget. That said, guests can take advantage of a semi-private dining experience for smaller groups—you can reserve a portion of the patio to enjoy the same great views and food but with only the people you trust.

Glass & Vine is located at 2820 McFarlane Road, Miami, FL 33133. For more information, call 305-200-5268 or visit their official website

The Globe

For over two decades, The Globe has served as the go-to spot for live jazz and stiff drinks. The food is also spectacular; expect to find a globally inspired lineup consisting of fish and chips, blackened Atlantic salmon, French onion soup, and lobster ravioli. Private parties in the restaurant’s signature Black Room can enjoy prix-fixe menus (including buffet options) plus an open bar, cash bar, bar tab, and drink ticket options depending on the occasion.

The Globe is located at 377 Alhambra Cir, Coral Gables, FL 33134. For more information, visit their official website.

MILA

Miami Beach’s rooftop restaurant MILA offers multiple private dining options for parties large and small; partial and full buyouts are available if your budget allows, and guests can be accommodated across the restaurant’s various sections like the exterior lounge, the terrace, and main dining room. On the menu is MILA’s “MediterrAsian” cuisine served family-style. Expect bites like five-spice chicken karaage, snapper crudo, shawarma wagyu gyoza, seasonal mushroom hotpot, and a chef’s selection of sushi.

MILA is located on the rooftop of 1636 Meridian Avenue, Miami Beach, 33139. For more information, call 786-706-0744 or visit their official website.

Seaspice

Seaspice is an elegant Miami River establishment, and that elegance extends to the restaurant’s multiple private dining options. Family functions, fundraising receptions, corporate events… Seaspice has no shortage of rooms to accommodate your vision.

Larger functions can take advantage of the spacious grand dining room with its artsy vibes, copper bar, and stage for live performances and speeches. If you prefer an open-air experience, you can reserve tables at the Riverside Dock or the Covered Porch to enjoy dinner with a view. Seaspice’s Modern Garden space provides a more Zen-like atmosphere with origami-esque trees, orchids, and other fun décor. Like we said, Seaspice has it all.

Seaspice is located 422 Northwest North River Drive, Miami FL 33128. For more information, call 305-440-4200 or visit their official website.

Toro Toro

One of the hottest tickets in Downtown Miami is Table 40, the private chef’s table at Toro Toro. The room, which seats up to 14 guests, is located in the restaurant’s kitchen so you can see all the action. Other private dining options here include El Matador—a small group setting—and Ole, the sister restaurant of Toro Toro that’s located next door. No matter what you pick, you’ll be treated to the eatery’s delicious Latin American cuisine that not only includes great steaks—their claim to fame—but also bites like shrimp cocktail aquachile, fried snapper, and sweet corn empanadas.

Toro Toro is located at 100 Chopin Plaza, Miami, FL 33131. For more information, visit their official website

Zucca

Whether you’re planning a big party or a small gathering, Zucca in Coral Gables can handle it. The Italian eatery offers a couple of options for everything from parties to corporate events: The Small Room and The Big Room.

The aptly named rooms are pretty self-explanatory. The smaller one can accommodate up to 18 guests, keeping things fairly intimate; menus also offer a greater degree of flexibility. The larger room can fit up to 70 guests—you’re essentially reserving the entire bar area. While we wouldn’t recommend the latter right now, it’s something to keep in mind once things get back to a (new) normal.

Zucca is located at 162 Alcazar Avenue, Coral Gables, FL 33134. For more information, call 786-580-3731 or visit their official website.
