As you’d expect, the menu leans heavy on seafood with some non-fish dishes for good measure. Two things you need to order: the mussels saganaki and sea bass plaki.

La Mar by Gaston Acurio is one of those restaurants that will always show up on any list dealing with waterfront views. It is THE view in Brickell – nothing comes close. The Brickell skyline at night is a sight to behold, and it’s complemented here by exquisite Peruvian fare.

No matter what, start with the cebiche bar; there are just so many to choose from, and they’re all winners (but we’re partial to the chalaco with grouper, shrimp and octopus). You also can’t leave without try the signature lomo saltado (stir-fried tenderloin) and chaufa aeropuerto (aka Peruvian fried rice).

Ocean Social

Ocean Social lives up to the name with an oceanfront view that’s one of the best on this side of town. This fantastic eatery is located at the Eden Roc Hotel and features a menu that’s big on seafood.

Caribbean kampachi crudo, butter roasted lobster, roasted diver scallops, and fish and grits are all must-trys, and there’s plenty of non-seafood items if you or your guest prefer dishes like Heritage Duroc pork chop, Bell & Evans roasted half chicken and Mishima American wagyu strip. On a nice day or night, the experience can’t be beat.

Haven’t heard of Tigre? We hadn’t either: Despite it being next to one of the city’s busiest streets (Biscayne Boulevard), it’s rather secluded – which adds to the Argentinean restaurant’s allure and mystique.

Once you find the place, you’ll wish you had come by sooner: The peaceful waterfront eatery is the perfect place for a romantic date or just a nice escape.

On the menu, you’ll find a wide range of light bites and larger plates: empanadas, ceviche, octopus, crispy skin snapper, churrasco, Milanesa … we can keep going, but we’re making ourselves hungry. Reservations are strong recommended.
