Wednesday, August 21: Miami Spice Lunch at Paperfish Sushi

Paperfish Sushi

Whenever we find ourselves on or around Española Way we just have to stop by Paperfish Sushi for their incredible Japanese fusion fare. And yes, this time around the restaurant has rolled out its Miami Spice menu that we just can’t pass up. The Miami Spice lunch menu is priced at only $30—one of the best deals in town—and includes seven dishes. Start off with miso soup and then move on to the sushi—the restaurant’s signature Paper Tuna Roll, the salmon aburi featuring torched fatty salmon belly with white travel oil, then there’s pork and shrimp gyoza, irresistible crispy truffle fried rice, and a house salad with sesame dressing to balance everything out. For dessert diners can choose between mochi ice cream and a house-made chocolate candy bar

Thursday, August 22: Lunch at El Turco

By now, El Turco in Upper Buena Vista has earned its place as a go-to spot for some of the finest Turkish eats around. But this month, they’re leveling up with a few new dishes that are pure foodie gold. Get ready to dive into flavors like the saucy zucchini and bell pepper dolma, the melt-in-your-mouth mussaka, and the ultra-crispy lahmacun, Turkey’s pizza. Save room for dessert because their kunefe is next-level indulgence with a heavenly sweet cheesy pull. Picture layers of sweet cheese sandwiched between golden, crispy shredded phyllo, bathed in a luscious syrup, and crowned with pistachios. It’s the kind of dessert you dream about long after your last bite. These new menu items are calling your name, so get yourself to El Turco and treat yourself to some incredible Turkish cuisine.

Friday, August 23: Dinner at the Newly Opened NOE Sushi Bar

For the past 20 years, NOE Sushi Bar, inspired by the bold culinary genius of Chef Noe Carmona, has been setting the standard for a whole new wave of Japanese-Latin fusion. It’s not just fusion, and it’s not Nikkei—NOE offers a flavor-packed journey all its own. With nearly three dozen locations in Ecuador, the buzz is now hitting the U.S. as the first stateside NOE Sushi Bar opens in South Miami. Expect a menu that’s wild, creative, and packed with surprises. Think ramen, special rolls, and bold meat and seafood mains. Signature dishes like the Noe tataki and sake yama roll are must-tries, alongside exclusive Miami bites like Korean BBQ lamb tacos and the butter truffle crab roll. With flavor explosions at every turn, NOE’s mix of tradition and innovation is something you have to taste to believe.

NOE Sushi Bar is located at 5958 South Dixie Highway, FL, 33143. For more information, visit their official website.

Saturday, August 24: Date Night at Costa Med

Whether it’s a date night with your significant other or your bestie—Costa Med ticks off all the boxes for the perfect intimate night with exquisite Mediterranean food. Located in Key Biscayne, the restaurant is a true hidden gem. They have some of the freshest catch you’ll feast on, an extensive wine collection with spectacular bottles, and they’re not even on Instagram to flaunt it. Start off the evening with a selection off their crudo menu, whether it’s the fresh daily ceviche or the daily fish tartare, the name of the game here is fresh. You also won’t regret getting an order of the octopus carpaccio featuring the most tender octopus slices. As for the entrees, we recommend sharing the restaurant’s specialty—the linguine alle vongole, an utmost aromatic dish of fresh clams sauteed in white wine with garlic and parsley. Don’t forget to ask about the specials which change daily.
