Tuesday, December 2: Lunch Date at Loretta and the Butcher

Pull up with your bestie, grab a table on the sun-dappled terrace, and let the start of the week slump melt away. Our eyes are landing straight on the sanguiches y burgers section of the menu. Both the chicken Milanesa sandwich and Lorettas burger are our absolute faves — the latter loaded with garlicky aioli and melty provolone. Oof.

If you’re craving something a lil different and truly magical, go for the arroz del gaucho, tender skirt steak mingling with creamy pecorino and a touch of barolo reduction with arborio rice. The flavors hit hard without being overdone, the kind of dishes you savor bite by bite while catching up on life. Finish with flan mixto or a slice of tres leches, paired with laughter and maybe a slow sip of espresso.

Wednesday, December 3: Coffee at the Newly Opened The Coffee

Brazil’s cult-favorite coffee brand, The Coffee, is finally touching down in the U.S. — and of course, the first stop is Wynwood. Opening this Wednesday, December 3rd, just in time for Art Week chaos, the Japanese-inspired minimalist cafe is bringing its signature clean aesthetic, tech-smooth ordering, and seriously elevated Brazilian coffee culture to the 305.

Expect bright Pure Black espresso for the purists, velvety True White lattes, iced ceremonial-grade matcha, and the kind of “I need to post this immediately” creations Miami will lose its mind over — think the dreamy butterfly-tea Sora Latte, the sparkling caffeine-spiked Black Ginger, and that dangerously good Mad Mocha with rich cacao. Opening night comes with a DJ set by Deer Jade at 6 p.m., making it the official pre-Basel caffeine-plus-vibes stop.

The Coffee will be located at 136 NW 27th St, Miami, FL 33127. For more information, visit their official website.

Thursday, December 4: Mediterranean Dinner at Bakalò

There’s something about a Bakalò dinner that feels like stepping into Mediterranean golden hour, even if Miami Beach is all city lights. Grab a table on the breezy patio, order a glass of crisp white wine, and let the flavors do the talking. Start with meze — silky babaganoush, lemony fava puree, garlicky tzatziki—and let the familiarity of the flaky spanakopita set the pace.

Then move to the mains: the Adana kebap, spicy, smoky, and layered with bulgur pilaf, or fire-roasted eggplants served alongside juicy Turkish meatballs — a match made in heaven. Finish with a sweet note — baklava, of course, and perhaps a Turkish coffee if you don’t plan on ending the night here.

Friday, December 5: National Comfort Food Day at Ironside Pizza

National Comfort Food Day is rolling around this Friday, and Ironside Pizza in Miami’s Upper East Side is exactly where you want to be. This cozy, family-friendly pizzeria delivers everything you could crave after a long week: perfectly blistered wood-fired pizzas, indulgent pastas, and fresh, locally sourced ingredients that feel both decadent and wholesome.

Our ultimate comfort-food feast starts with house-made Nonna’s meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, then goes straight for the carbs. There’s, of course, the classic pizzas like Margherita and pepperoni fire-blistered to perfection, or for something a lil more indulgent there’s the meat-lovers Che Fame loaded with Italian sausage, sopressatta, and parmacotto ham. If pasta is your game, you won’t regret the rigatoni al ragu or the butter & parmigiano — simple and always hits the spot. If you’ve still got room, indulge in a creamy panna cotta or tiramisu while sipping a rich espresso on the breezy, plant-filled patio for the ideal comfort-food ending.
