Tuesday, December 10: Lunch at Wabi Sabi

Located on 79th Street in Miami Shores, Wabi Sabi is where Japanese tradition meets Miami’s laid-back cool. A creation of Alvaro Perez Miranda, the mastermind behind Hiyakawa and Ogawa, this spot trades opulence for charm, delivering an experience that’s effortlessly authentic and refreshingly affordable. Walk in, and the vibe pulls you in: walls alive with fluttering paper cranes, kokedama plants dangling like green jewels, and an air of quiet magic that sets the perfect stage for a mid-day escape. The menu is a curated dream—simple, focused, and oh-so-delicious.

Picture a bowl of customizable donburi brimming with pristine fish, rice, and toppings tailored just for you. Sushi lovers, brace yourselves: buttery negitoro maki and rare akamatsu handrolls are waiting for you. Wrap it up with green tea mochi or silky mango panna cotta for a sweet finale. This spot has definitely earned a regular spot in our Miami lunch lineup.

Thursday, December 12: Holiday Tacos at the Velvet Taco

Spice up your week with a festive taco twist at Velvet Taco, a Wynwood hotspot blending bold flavors and holiday cheer. Famous for reimagining the traditional taco with global flair, this quirky joint is celebrating the season in style with its limited-time Fa-La-La brisket taco. Think slow-roasted Angus brisket, cheesy hashbrown casserole, and crispy fried onions for that ultimate holiday dinner-flavored bite.

The party continues at Velvet Taco’s loyalty program, The Velvet Room, where weekly surprises are being served up with their Holiday Hookup. From creamy queso to guacamole and slices of their iconic Red Velvet Cake, members can score delicious perks every weekend through December. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing tacos to-go, these rewards are the ultimate holiday treat.

Velvet Taco is located at 2820 NW 2nd Ave Suite 2, Miami, FL 33127. For more information, visit their official website.

Friday, December 13: Lunch at the Lobster Shack

Nestled on bustling Lincoln Road, Lobster Shack brings a breezy slice of New England to the heart of Miami Beach. With its crave-worthy seafood, it’s the kind of spot that turns a casual lunch into a much-awaited happening.

The star of the show is their iconic lobster rolls—overflowing with tender lobster and served warm or chilled, depending on your mood. Lunchers can also dive into creamy clam chowder, and seafood tacos, or pair their meal with a perfectly mixed cocktail to keep the beach vibes rolling. Grab a seat outside for some prime people-watching, and let the afternoon drift by. Whether you’re seeking comfort or chasing the coastal breeze, Lobster Shack nails it with every bite.

Saturday, December 14: Date Night at Costa Med

Costa Med is the perfect place for date night if there ever was one, which is why we’re heading there this Saturday evening for a romantic date night dinner. Just a short drive to Key Biscayne, and you’ll find yourself in a charming European bistro with Mediterranean delicacies that will make your eyes sparkle as you gaze through the menu.

We like to start the night off with an order of calamari fritti served alongside a spicy marinara sauce—fried to perfection. The fresh daily ceviche made of the day’s catch and served with crispy green plantain tostones is another appetizer that we don’t recommend passing up. As for the mains, the jumbo wild-caught seared scallops served over a pumpkin puree together with an apricot and Iberico ham chutney is pure bliss, as are the lobster ravioli filled with 100% claw meat. Costa Med Bistro is also known for its vino, boasting the best cellar in Key Biscayne. You won’t regret putting them on your date night rotation.
