Do you love hot and spicy food as much as we do?! Then youā€™re in luck! There are tons of hot and spicy provisions at the Lobster Shack, and thatā€™s exactly where weā€™re headed this International Hot and Spicy Food Day. The menu at this family-run lobster shack is full of seafood scrumptiousness, but on this day, thereā€™s one item that stands out amongst the rest: the Spicy Lobster Roll. Loaded with lump lobster claw meat, the roll comes chilled and lightly dressed, then topped with double trouble: a jalapeno slaw and more fresh jalapeno slices on top. The the piĆØce de rĆ©sistanceĀ  ā€” washing it all down with the Guava Jalapeno Margarita.Ā

Thursday, January 18: Caribbean Vibes at Manjay

This will be the restaurantā€™s thirst outpost and a much-needed splash of island vibes in Doral. Join us this Thursday to try their diverse menu abundant with scrumptious options. Start the meal off with ā€œLil Somtinā€ appetizers like Caribbean conch fritters or mofongo. Then, move on to the eateryā€™s signature ā€œBig Upā€ bowls like the Griyo Bowl made with Kreyol-style braised pork or the panko-fried chicken-based Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl doused in house-made jerk sauce. Wash it all down with one of the many impressive offerings of island beers ā€” Doral just got all the more sunnier.Ā

Saturday, January 20: National Cheese Lovers Day at Cubata

What to Do in Miami This Week [Jan 15-21] - Biscayne Bay Brewing, Cubata, Lobster Shack, Manjay, weekly - November 2024

Happy National Cheese Lovers Day! Letā€™s be honest, though, do you really need a holiday to indulge to the fullest in cheese? We donā€™t. Yet, this Cheese Lovers Day, weā€™ll be sure to get some of the best cheeses at Cubata, Miamiā€™s Spanish-Cuban tapas restaurant. On the menu, youā€™ll find a special section dedicated to the best cheeses: 6-month aged Manchego, lightly smoked Ideazabal, tangy Mahon, soft Tetilla, and Murica al Vino, a divine wine-cured cheese from Murcia. While the cheeses are available a-la-carte, cheese-loving foodies can also get the tabla de quesos and cheese board. Whatā€™s the match made in heaven for cheese? Wine, of course! Donā€™t worry ā€” Cubata has plenty. P.S. Get there between 4 and 8 p.m. when all wine is half off.Ā
