Wednesday, June 11: National Pizza Margherita Day at La Natural
If there’s ever a reason to honor a classic, it’s National Margherita Pizza Day—and there’s no better place to do it than La Natural. Tucked into Little River, this low-key spot has earned a devoted following for doing simple things exceptionally well.
The Bib Gourmand spot keeps things focused: naturally leavened dough, cold-fermented for 48 hours, blistered in a wood oven, and topped with tomato sauce, burrata, and basil. It’s delicate but sturdy, smoky from the wood oven, and deeply satisfying—a pie that speaks in quiet, confident notes. Pair it with one of their carefully chosen natural wines (ask the team, they know what they’re doing) and settle in. No fuss, no frills, just a pizza that makes you pause mid-bite and go, “damn.”
Friday, June 13: Lunch at CJ’s Crab Shack
Lunch at CJ’s Crab Shack this Friday is non-negotiable. We’re kicking things off with the crab dip—spinach and artichoke with fresh lump crab meat. A must for sure. Then we’re going in on the baked oysters: buttery, garlicky, bubbling with Swiss cheese and parmesan. And of course, one of those golden, shell-baked crab cakes.
For mains, it’s the blackened grouper Reuben for us, stacked with slaw and melted Swiss on rye, with a side of fries straight from the fryer. Cold beer, salt air, and the kind of seafood you never make at home—this is how a Friday lunch should look. See you at noon. Come hungry.
Saturday, June 14: Eleventh Street Pizza x Bodega Launch Party
Two Miami staples are teaming up for a seriously fun summer collab: Eleventh Street Pizza and Bodega Taqueria are dropping two limited-edition pies—Birria and Elote—available June 9–30. The Birria Pie is everything you love about Bodega’s taco, but in pizza form: slow-cooked barbacoa, mozzarella, avocado salsa, onions, cilantro, and a side of rich consommé for dipping. Oh my.
Meanwhile, the Elote Pie goes bold with roasted corn, salsa rosada, cotija, chipotle, cilantro, and mozzarella. It’s peak summer, by the slice. This Saturday, they’re throwing a launch party at Bodega Coconut Grove from 2–5 p.m. with music, drinks, and free samples (yes, free). Think taco vibes meet pizza dreams.
Bodega Taqueria y Tequila Coconut Grove is located at 3419 Main Hwy, Miami, FL 33133. For more information, visit their official website.
Sunday, June 15: Father’s Day at Elia on the River
This Father’s Day, Elia on the River is serving up grilled cuts in honor of all SoFlo fathers. The waterfront stunner is going all in with Meat Me at Elia—a one-day-only celebration featuring premium grilled selections designed for sharing (think portions for two or four). Expect a well-marbled, expertly charred spread with just the right balance of smoke and finesse.
Set against sweeping Miami River views and framed by terrazzo floors, rattan textures, and a laid-back luxe vibe, Elia makes the case for ditching the backyard BBQ in favor of something more refined. Whether you’re rolling in by boat or pulling up a seat on the breezy patio, this is how you do Father’s Day in style. The regular à la carte menu stays available for those craving pastas, seafood, or a crisp wood-fired pie—but if you’re here to toast Dad with steak and spritzes, you’re in good hands.
