Tuesday, May 28: National Burger Day at Barsecco

We’ve been celebrating burgers all month long but the pinnacle comes on this Tuesday—National Burger Day! There are plenty of good burgers in the 305, but the buns and patties at Barsecco truly stand out amongst the crowd. Barsecco has two burgers in store for us: the elite wagyu burger that’s made with wagyu beef, maple bacon, caramelized mushrooms, swiss cheese, black truffle aioli, and guanciale jam; or the Barsecco burger with two Angus beef patties, American cheese, grilled onions, and secret sauce served on a brioche bun. Whether you like to sip wine or beer with your burger, we recommend coming before 8 p.m. to get the sips for as little as $7.

Wednesday, May 29: Lunch at the Lobster Shack

What to Do in Miami This Week [May 27-June 2] - Barsecco, Kissaki, Lobster Shack, Tacology - July 2024

If you’re looking for the perfect spot to chill and recline during lunch midweek—the Lobster Shack is it. It’s a casual family-run spot with delicious seafood just steps from the beach. Known for its no-frills, and mouthwatering lobster rolls, this eatery captures the nostalgic charm of coastal dining. The Lobster Shack offers a variety of New England classics, including fresh East Coast oysters, clam chowder, lobster bisque, and more. The highlight is undoubtedly their lobster rolls, generously packed with succulent full-size lobster claws. During a hot Miami day, the classic lobster roll—chilled and lightly dressed, with a side of their signature jalapeno slaw, is our go-to option. Enjoy the shack’s outdoor seating and laid-back atmosphere while digging into, hands down, the best lobster roll in Florida.

Friday, May 31: Sushi Dinner at Kissaki

What to Do in Miami This Week [May 27-June 2] - Barsecco, Kissaki, Lobster Shack, Tacology - July 2024

If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in Miami this week, join us for dinner at Kissaki in South Beach. This New York City favorite has brought its dedication to Japanese culinary traditions to the vibrant South of Fifth neighborhood. Kissaki’s vogue lounge vibe complete with soft dance music, sets the perfect stage for a memorable meal and an amazing weekend ahead. Kissaki is renowned for its kaiseki cuisine, where mindful sourcing, seasonality, and unparalleled quality are at the forefront. While they have incredible omakase specials for as little as $95 (a complete steal for the neighborhood), we’re going to indulge in their a la carte sushi menu. Load up on the freshest nigiri like house marinated ikura or yuzu-miso hotate; then traverse into their signature futomaki section with the utmost tempting The Sandy featuring melt-in-your-mouth otoro, uni, ikura, cucumber, and avocado. Oof.

Saturday, June 1: New Menu at Tacology

Tacology, our beloved spot for authentic Mexican cuisine in Miami, has launched exciting new menu items just in time for summer. Highlights include the tampiqueña, a grilled skirt steak served with spring rice, refried beans, and tortillas topped with mole poblano. Or, if you’re a seafood lover like we are, then indulge in the camarones chipotle, featuring pan-seared shrimp in a rich chipotle cream sauce. Our mouths are watering already. Then, for a comforting option, try the enchiladas suizas, filled with tender chicken and topped with green tatemada sauce and gratinated cheese. The milanesa de pollo, a breaded chicken thigh with crispy fries and chipotle mayo, is another standout we just can’t help but mention. And, of course, pair your meal with one of the restaurant’s extensive margaritas, like the refreshing tropical margarita made with passion fruit and mango puree. End on a sweet note with their new churros, served with cajeta.

Tacology is located at 4th Brickell City Centre, 701 S Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33131. For more information, visit their official website
