Wednesday, September 18: National Cheeseburger Day at Edan Bistro

Let’s try an original approach this National Cheeseburger Day with a Basque burger from the sensational Edan Bistro that just dropped a game-changing lunch menu. Leading the charge is none other than Chef Aitor Garate Berasaluze, who’s bringing bold flavors straight from the Basque Country. Just in time for National Cheeseburger Day, the Chef will be serving up the Txuleta Basque Burger, a creation that’s bound to blow your mind. Picture this: dry-aged ribeye, perfectly seasoned, topped with a smoky roasted red bell pepper sauce, zesty Ibarra peppers, and melted Idiazabal cheese that ties it all together. To top it off, Edan Bistro boasts an impressive selection of Spanish wines, perfectly paired to elevate your burger experience to new heights. See you there!

Thursday, September 19: Dinner at CJ’s Crab Shack

It’s probably been a while since you grabbed your besties and went out for a meal on Ocean Drive. Naturally, not many Miamians will be caught doing it. Trust us—CJ’s Crab Shack is worth making the exception. The family-run restaurant exudes friendly and unpretentious vibes despite being in an area notorious for its tourist traps. That’s not the case here, folks. In fact, diners can indulge in delicious fresh seafood for a reasonable price. Don’t be afraid to get a lil’ messy and start with the peel ’n eat drunken shrimp and oysters Rockefeller cooked to perfection. For substantial bites, going with one of the entree platters is essential. We’ve long been fans of the Fisherman’s Platter, and we’re not stopping now. Indulge in an enormous platter of fish, shrimp, and scallops—cooked to your liking, plus a crab cake. Oh, and of course, pasta Alfredo is on the side. Warning: pirates have been known to kill for this one. 

Friday, September 20: Miami Spice Dinner at Paperfish Sushi

With only a couple of weeks of Miami Spice left, you know exactly where to find us. That’s right—Paperfish Sushi on Española Way is where we’ll be getting our sushi on with their $60 4-course menu. Start the journey into Japanese fusion cuisine with the wagyu gyoza as an appetizer while getting ready for what’s to come. For the main course, go with the South Beach Sampler, which features the restaurant’s signature acevichado roll made with; 5 pieces of nigiri, including torched salmon aburi with lime zest and truffle oil, and hamachi yuzu; tiradito apassionado with salmon and passionfruit; house-made miso-glazed black cod; and finally assorted mochi ice cream for dessert. Miami Spice, you’ll truly be missed.

Sunday, September 22: Breakfast at El Turco

Is there anything more blissful than a slow Sunday morning, sitting under the shade of oak trees and away from the heat, Turkish coffee in hand? We think not, which is precisely why you’ll find us with our breakfast spread at the Michelin Bib Gourmand Awarded El Turco. If you’re ready to go all out, then look no further than the Turkish Breakfast Tray—served with two organic eggs sunny side up or scrambled, fresh steak tomatoes and Persian cucumbers, premium quality feta cheese, kashkaval cheese, low salted dried black and green olives, homemade jams, pogaca, freshly baked bread and simit with two glasses of tea. This grand spread is priced at $38 and is ideal for sharing between two people. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend a chill Sunday morning than with great food and great company.
