Where to Celebrate Your COVID-19 Shot

With the COVID-19 vaccine rolling out, it seems like Miami can start letting out a big sigh of relief. Now that people are getting their shots, there’s significantly less risk to dining out, and dining rooms across the city are filling up again. The pandemic is by no means over, but we hope the worst is behind us.

If you’ve gotten your shot, a celebration is in order. Consider these four spots for a memorable post-vaccine meal.

Casa Isola

For a satisfying Italian dining experience that you won’t soon forget, make a reservation at Casa Isola. The Italian eatery has taken Sunset Harbor by storm with its tasty pastas and delectable specialties that are sure to turn you into a regular.

Kick things off with the Pane Al Prosciutto – Brooklyn-style bread packed with prosciutto – and then work your way through delightful offerings like fried calamari, rigatoni all vodka, and the famous veal chop parm (bring a friend or two). This restaurant is best enjoyed in a big group so you can do some serious damage together; make time for a nap afterward. And make sure to save room for tiramisu – you’re welcome.

Casa Isola is located at 1418 20th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.

Costa Med

Traveling internationally right now is still hit or miss, so enjoy the next best thing: a trip to the Mediterranean with Costa Med. The Key Biscayne favorite has dazzled diners for years with an exquisite menu of European-inspired fare.

There’s a lot to enjoy here: grilled octopus, steak tartare, tuna tataki, lobster ravioli, seared scallops, chicken rotolato… the list goes on and on. Repeat visits are a must, as daily specials are always a treat. And don’t get us started on the wine list, which features rare finds galore. Cheers!

Costa Med is located at 260 Crandon Boulevard, Suite 46, Key Biscayne, FL 33149. For more information, visit their official website.

RED South Beach

When it comes to celebrations, you can never go wrong with a steakhouse. Treat yourself to one of the best steak selections in town at RED South Beach. The iconic Miami Beach steakhouse recently moved to a larger location on South Pointe and hasn’t missed a step.

While the place looks a little different, the quality dining experience remains the same. Guests can start with decadent selections like Maine lobster cocktail and beluga caviar before moving into main attractions like the c.a.b. prime ribeye, prime bone-in porterhouse, and filet mignon; RED South Beach is indeed a meat paradise.

Bigger parties, take note: The ultimate meat board with its tomahawk, bone in-filet, bone-in strip and lamb chops is a winner. Even sides like the four-cheese mac and cheese can double as a whole meal; there’s no such thing as too much here.

RED South Beach is located at 801 South Pointe Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Toscana Divino

“Go big or go home.” That should be your mentality at Toscana Divino, where you’ll easily want to order the entire menu. The Brickell Italian restaurant does a fantastic job of making everything sound so good. Some of the (many) highlights on the menu: crab salad, bread bone-in veal chop, ricotta, and spinach tortelli, and duck ragu pici senesi.

You’ve seen some of the items on the menu before – lasagna; truffle risotto – but not done to this caliber. There’s a reason Toscana Divino has withstood the test of time, while surrounding restaurants have shut down. Fun fact: This spot is home to one of the longest wine lists in town.

Toscana Divino is located at 900 South Miami Avenue, #185, Miami, FL 33130. For more information, visit their official website.
