Where to Day Drink in Miami

Miami’s year-round sunny weather makes it the perfect destination for day drinking. Whether you’re unwinding with a cocktail in hand or soaking in the vibes with a cold beer, Miami offers an array of spots that cater to every type of day drinker.

Hometown BBQ

For something a little different, check out Hometown BBQ in Allapattah. Known for its incredible food and chill vibes, this spot offers a great selection of brews and cocktails, perfect for sipping while you dive into some smoky, tender meats. The rustic and homey setting creates an ideal atmosphere for casual day drinking, with large picnic-style tables that encourage group hangouts and good times. Some items to get you started: the Beefeater martini, the mango daiquiri, and the rye-based Pineapple Express.

Hometown BBQ is located at 1200 NW 22nd St #100, Miami, FL 33142. For more information, visit their official website

KoKo by Bakan

KoKo by Bakan offers a breezy, tropical setting perfect for day drinking in Coconut Grove. This indoor-outdoor oasis specializes in mezcal and tequila, with an impressive list of cocktails that will have you coming back for more. Their margaritas can be made with tequila or mezcal – there is no wrong choice – and feature flavors like watermelon, tamarind, and passionfruit. Non-margarita cocktails are available and just as tasty. Beers and micheladas round out the offerings here, and honestly, you’ll be tempted to try them all, whether you’re flying solo or kicking back with friends.

Magie

If you’re starting your day drinking on the later side, pop into Magie Wine Garden in Little River. The spacious wine bar features no shortage of bottles to enjoy. Also offering an array of small bites, Magie’s offerings are priced reasonably, making for a budget-friendly outing. It’s just a fun, cute spot that’s especially great for larger groups. Should you want more substantial fare after drinking a bottle or three, the wine bar is located right across from The Citadel food hall – you can make a night out of it.

Magie is located at 8281 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33138. For more information, visit their official Instagram

Off Site

Love beer? Off Site in Little River is the place to be. This casual, indoor-outdoor venue serves up a selection of local beers, including their own. Perfect for an afternoon session of drinks with friends, Offsite’s minimalist vibe and relaxed setting make it great for those looking to enjoy their drinks without the pretense of a fancy bar. Plus, their food menu is full of delicious bites like wings, sandwiches, and hot dogs.

Paperfish Sushi

If you’re craving sushi while you sip on something refreshing, head over to Paperfish Sushi in Brickell. This neighborhood hotspot is known for its inventive sushi rolls and huge cocktail list. Choose from items like a wasabi martini, a Dragon Moscow Mule, and a Wahakan Old Fashioned – to name a few winners. You can also enjoy a chilled glass of sake or a mocktail if those are more your vibes. The ambiance here is sophisticated yet laid-back, making it a great destination for a daytime drink with a twist of sushi.

Primo’s

Located in Downtown Miami, Primo’s is a great spot to kick off your day drinking adventure. This intimate Italian restaurant offers a chic yet casual vibe that’s perfect for sipping on spritzes and enjoying a light bite (or a whole pizza). While most of the restaurant is indoors, there is outdoor seating that lets you enjoy the fresh air while indulging in their creative cocktails and classic Italian dishes. Highlights on the drink menu include the Pantera Rosa with cachaca, lime juice, and guava puree, as well as the Hot and Sweet Girl with infused jalapeno vodka; wine is also very plentiful.
