Where to Drink in Miami During Dry January

Miami: a city synonymous with nightlife, flowing cocktails, and endless parties. But what if you’re taking on Dry January? Fear not! Miami offers plenty of exciting experiences that don’t involve alcohol. Here’s your guide to enjoying a fun and fulfilling Dry January in the Magic City, featuring some stellar spots with fantastic non-alcoholic options.

Aba Miami

Immerse yourself in the flavors of the Mediterranean at Aba. Their menu is bursting with flavorful dishes perfect for sharing. While known for their cocktails, Aba also boasts an impressive selection of non-alcoholic beverages, including a bevy of unique mocktails. Indulge in the Pomegranate Backsplash with pomegranate grenadine, cold-pressed orange, and Fever Tree Sicilian lemonade, or the Faux-Loma featuring house-made pineapple fresno cordial, lime, and Three Cents Greek grapefruit soda. The elegant ambiance and delicious food make it easy to forget about the lack of alcohol.

Aba Miami is located at 9700 Collins Ave #101, Bal Harbour, FL 33154. For more information, visit their official website

Ironside Pizza

Caffeine fiends will find plenty to like at Ironside Pizza, the namesake neighborhood’s beloved pizza joint. Espresso, macchiato, Americano, cappuccino, and an assortment of iced coffees are all available to help you find a replacement for booze this month. The restaurant also serves up an array of fresh juices, lemonade, and Italian sodas. And if you’re feeling truly adventurous, you can always order the restaurant’s Shirley Temple.

Kissaki

For a more refined experience, head to Kissaki in South of Fifth. This upscale sushi restaurant offers an exquisite dining experience with a backdrop that’s to die for. Although they have a tempting sake list, they also offer enticing zero-proof options. Enjoy a refreshing ume soda or yuzu soda, or opt for their take on a Shirley Temple featuring yuzu and house-made grenadine. Pair one of these with their spectacular rolls, and you’ll be in heaven.

Paperfish Sushi

Located in the heart of Brickell, Paperfish Sushi serves up tasty Peruvian-Japanese fusion. Their extensive menu features innovative sushi rolls and small plates that will have you coming back for more. To complement your meal, try one of their great mocktails. The strawberry cucumber lemonade, with muddled strawberries, cucumber, and pure cane sugar, offers a sweet and refreshing option, especially on warmer days. For a more exotic taste, try the dragon fruit lemonade with dragon fruit, lime juice, ginger beer, and pure cane sugar.

The Strand

If you’re looking to be extra healthy during Dry January, The Strand at Carillon Miami is the perfect destination. This gorgeous restaurant offers delectable Mediterranean fare created with your health in mind—case in point: a fantastic selection of mocktails.

Choose from options like the Batida, a fun blend of coconut milk, pineapple juice, passionfruit syrup, and nutmeg; the Lady in Red, a tasty mix of ginger, grapefruit soda, red berry tea, hibiscus syrup, and lime; or the What’s Up, Doc?, a satisfying concoction of carrot and orange juice, turmeric, and ginger ale. You won’t run out of things to try.

The Strand is located at 6801 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33141. For more information, visit their official website.
