Where to Go When You Need a Drink Right Now

Maybe you’ve had a rough day at work. Maybe you’re celebrating a milestone. Maybe you’re having an impromptu hangout. Whatever the case, these five Miami spots have you covered when you need a drink right now.

CJ’s Crab Shack

CJ’s Crab Shack in Miami Beach is famous for its awesome snow crab, but those in the know also go here for its impressive drink lineup. Not only does the Ocean Drive favorite boast a hearty selection of beers, but it also features a robust roster of refreshing cocktails. Expect to find Miami-appropriate drinks like Gwen’s Summertime Sangria, strawberry daiquiris, and Chris’ Famous Rum Punch. Cheers!

CJ’s Crab Shack is located at 600 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Jia

At Jia, you’ll come for the delicious Chinese cuisine and stay for the delicious specialty cocktails. As you indulge in bites like mini fish buns, crispy radish cake, and roasted Mongolian cumin lamb rack, you can also enjoy signature cocktails like the 5-spice old fashioned, pandan colada, spicy ginger paloma, and toasted coconut negroni.

If you visit Jia with a big group, we can’t recommend the large-format drinks enough. The tableside espresso martini service is an experience as is the vodka- and champagne-based Disco Ball. Make sure you have your camera ready.

Jia is located at 808 1st Street, #3, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

RED South Beach

South of Fifth’s RED South Beach is the place to visit for all things wine. You’ll find dozens upon dozens of bottles for the taking at this renowned Miami Beach steakhouse. While you enjoy dishes like tuna tartare, crisp chili calamari, truffle pasta, and – of course – Certified Angus Beef prime ribeye, you can sip on rare finds by the bottle and glass.

Not a wine drinker? No problem: RED’s full bar will take care of you with favorites like the lychee martini, double dirty martini, Centenario margarita, and gin blossom. And yes, there’s beer as well.

RED South Beach is located at 801 South Pointe Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Tropezón

If it’s been a while since you last visited Espanola Way, it’s time to plan another visit. Tropezón – an Andalusian gin and tapas bar – is helping make the area less of a tourist trap and more of a local destination.

Tapas abound at this gorgeous venue: Expect to find items like patatas bravas, pan con tomate, chorizo a la sidra, and other Spanish staples here. Complementing all these selections are adult offerings like gin and tonics and sherry as well as classic cocktails like fino martinis and negronis. Once you’re here, you won’t want to leave.

Tropezón is located at 512 Española Way, Miami Beach FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

The Wagyu Bar

If you’re looking for a more casual steakhouse experience on the mainland, look no further than The Wagyu Bar on Coral Way. This laidback spot takes its meats seriously; expect to learn a thing or two about beef grading during your visit.

The Wagyu Bar also takes its alcohol seriously. The small but mighty drink selection features delicious wines at hard-to-beat prices; most bottles can be had for under $50 dollars. The Wagyu Bar offers sake, beer, and wine-based cocktails, too, if that’s more your style. You can even get your alcohol in ice cream form; the restaurant serves an assortment of alcohol-infused treats made with Casamigos tequila, Maker’s Mark, and other notable brands.

The Wagyu Bar is located at 2257 Coral Way, Miami, FL 33145. For more information, visit their official website.
