Broken Shaker

No outdoor drinking list is complete without one of Miami’s top-rated bars: Broken Shaker. The award-winning watering hole changes up their cocktail menu regularly, so we won’t waste time listing anything – just know that every drink on the menu is meticulously crafted. 

Pick your poison, grab a seat by the pool, and just take it all in. To help balance all the booze, expect an assortment of satisfying bites like street tacos, wings, burgers, and sandwiches.

Casa Isola

Whether you sit inside or outside at Miami Beach’s Casa Isola, you’re in for a good time. But if you have the option and the weather is nice, sit outside.

The Italian eatery features a wealth of alcoholic beverages you can enjoy outside, including Italian beers and classics like Aperol spritzes. Foodwise, you’ll find great pastas and starters like rigatoni alla vodka and fried calamari, along with dishes reminiscent of the space’s previous occupant, Pubbelly; the udon carbonara is calling your name. 

CJ’s Crab Shack

Sure, you can sit inside at CJ’s Crab Shack, but why do that when you’re on Ocean Drive? Few things are more Miami than drinking margaritas, daiquiris, and pina coladas while watching the tourists on this iconic South Beach attraction.

The drinks here at CJ’s Crab Shack are surprisingly affordable for the location, and the food is spectacular; expect seafood galore beyond CJ’s namesake specialty, including selections like fried shrimp and grouper sandwiches.

Cubata

Great food, great drinks, and great music are exactly what you’ll find at Little Havana’s Cubata. The lively tapas spot has live entertainment regularly, so take a seat outside and take in the sounds – and some tasty fare like smoked salmon carpaccio, shrimp cocktail, octopus, marinated roasted chicken, and beef tenderloin.

Mojitos are a must, too. Our favorite thing here: the prices. Good luck finding high-quality food and drinks at these prices elsewhere in the neighborhood.

Lagniappe

If wine is your thing, check out the backyard that is Lagniappe. The Midtown Miami institution is known for its quirky furniture, reasonably priced libations, and live music.

We love that it’s open late every day; if you’re feeling like a night out on a random Tuesday, this is the place. Large and small parties are welcome, but we recommend the more, the merrier.

Lobster Shack

If you find yourself thirsty near Lincoln Road or South Pointe Park, check out one of the Lobster Shack outposts. At either location, you’ll encounter a ton of delicious seafood and stiff drinks — emphasis on stiff. 

Selections like the Famous Rum Punch, Lemonade Vodka, and Soon to Be Famous Margarita all pack a punch; make sure to try a lobster roll to balance things out. Not a lobster fan? The shrimp salad and the tuna tacos are also menu standouts. 

Tanuki River Landing

In terms of views, Tanuki River Landing has one of the best on this list. Sit outside at this spacious Japanese restaurant, and you’ll have a front-row seat to the Miami River; there’s nothing like watching the water and the boats go by. 

Cocktails and sake are the main attractions here, with a few brews for good measure. Complementing the beverage program is an equally impressive food menu of sushi, wok items, and everything in between. No matter what you order, it pairs perfectly with the scenery. 

Toscana Divino

Toscana Divino is the best Italian restaurant in Brickell—no contest. The restaurant has been the cornerstone of Mary Brickell Village for years, and that’s because it’s amazingly consistent. Toscana Divino is home to an extensive wine collection — we’re talking dozens upon dozens of bottles. 

Needless to say, you’ll find something to your liking here. Snag a seat outside on the patio for a closer look at Brickell’s mesmerizing high-rises. While you’re at it, don’t miss out on highlights like the wild mushroom risotto and house-roasted porchetta.
