Where to Eat in Miami on Labor Day Weekend 2024

Geoffrey Anderson

While everyone is at the beach or busy barbecuing, Labor Day Weekend in Miami is the perfect time to indulge in the city’s diverse culinary scene. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, these seven restaurants offer a memorable dining experience for every taste.

Barsecco

Indulge in the finer things at Kissaki, an upscale Japanese restaurant in the South of Fifth neighborhood. This gorgeous spot is perfect for a special occasion or a night out with friends during Labor Day weekend (or any weekend, really). The sushi rolls are a work of art, and the mains are just as delightful. Think char siu ribs, king crab legs, wagyu fried rice, and whole branzino

The menu is huge, but don’t worry if you can’t decide: Kissaki offers a number of tastings and flights, so you get the best bang for your buck; take advantage of these options to get the most out of the menu. And it goes without saying: Get some sake while you’re at it.

Ogawa

Craving great sushi on the mainland? Embark on a culinary journey to Japan at Ogawa. This hidden gem in Little River offers an intimate omakase experience you will never forget. The menu changes constantly, so there’s no point in writing about the offerings much. Just know that you’re enjoying some of the highest-quality fish in town.

Also note: This place is not for those on a budget. It is a splurge and worth every dollar. Reservations are a must and fill up fast, but keep an eye out for spots that might open up over the long weekend.
