Where to Eat When You’re in a Rush

Let’s face it—some days are just a blur. Maybe you’re bouncing between meetings, or an event ran late, or you just don’t feel like sitting through a long lunch. That’s where these spots come in. They’re quick, they’re delicious, and they know how to feed you without slowing you down.

Whether you’re in Brickell, Little River, or heading down Ocean Drive, here’s where to eat when time is tight and hunger is loud.

CJ’s Crab Shack

Tucked along Ocean Drive’s chaos is this hidden-in-plain-sight gem where trays of golden seafood arrive faster than your cocktail. Think huge platters of crab legs, fried shrimp, and more—all served in a space that feels more like a beach party than a restaurant. CJ’s Crab Shack is quick, satisfying, and the kind of spot where you walk in starving and walk out with a grin on your face.

Coyo Taco

Coyo Taco is a lifesaver when you’re hungry and hustling. Their tacos are small but mighty—packed with big flavor and ready in minutes. Order at the counter, choose your protein (from carne asada to duck confit), and you’re eating in no time. Coyo’s various locations stay busy during prime times, but the lines move quickly, and the kitchen runs like clockwork. Great for lunch breaks, late nights, or any time that tacos call your name but your schedule is unforgiving.

Doggi’s Arepa Bar

At Doggi’s, the arepas are stuffed to the max and hit the table fast. This MiMo staple serves Venezuelan comfort food that’s perfect for grabbing on a tight timeline—whether you’re running errands or headed home. Try the pelua (shredded beef and gouda) or La Santa (fish stew) for a filling, handheld meal that keeps it casual and quick. The staff keeps things moving, and the food always hits that sweet spot between quick and flavorful.

La Natural

La Natural might look like a place where you linger over wine and pizza—and yes, you can—but it also works surprisingly well when you’re on the go. The sourdough crust is delicious, the ingredients are seasonal and punchy, and the menu is tight enough to order in seconds.

Whether you’re grabbing a pie solo or splitting one with a friend, it’s an elevated bite that won’t eat up your day. Highlights include the prosciutto speck pizza and the burrata pie, to name a few. And don’t forget to throw in some charred carrots or Japanese sweet potato as a starter.

The Lobster Shack

Lincoln Road is full of sit-down spots, but The Lobster Shack keeps things refreshingly simple. Walk in, order up a buttery lobster roll or lobster tacos (or one of their non-lobster specialties), and it’s in your hands before you know it. Service is quick, staff is chill, and the food? Fresh, filling, and perfect for eating on the move. Whether you’re shopping, sightseeing, or just short on time, this place delivers speed without skimping on the seafood.

Vale Food Co.

Vale is Brickell’s answer to “I want to eat healthy, but I’ve got 20 minutes.” Build-your-own bowls are the move here—pick your base, protein, veggies, and sauces—and the line flies, even during peak lunch hours. Everything is prepped fresh and made to move, from the veggies to the proteins; there’s no shortage of options. Some of our favorites: lemon pepper salmon, bison and beef meatballs, and coconut spice chicken tenders. It’s a clean, energizing meal that leaves you feeling good and ready to power through the rest of your day. And if you’re in a rush but still want something sweet, get a chia pudding parfait and hit the road.
