Where to Enjoy Frozen Drinks in Miami

Summer in Miami is brutal. Stay cool with these icy cocktails that hit the spot on a hot South Florida day (aka every day).

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila

When it comes to frozen margaritas, Bodega Taqueria y Tequila checks all the boxes. The fast-casual Mexican spot has them up front and center, making them all the more tempting when you’re ordering the restaurant’s tasty tacos.

You can get a classic frozen margarita, but we’re partial to the mango variety – but honestly, just get both. These are some of the coldest margaritas we’ve encountered, so expect them to stay cool for a while – a perfect situation for handling Miami’s hot temperatures.

Don’t forget to check out the back while you’re here – there’s a not-so-secret-anymore lounge with a full bar.

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is located at 1220 16th St, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.

CJ’s Crab Shack

CJ’s Crab Shack has it all: great food, great drinks, and a front-row seat to the beach. Few things are as fun as grabbing a frozen drink at CJ’s Crab Shack and taking in the sands and sights.

Grab a table outside, some crab legs, and a frozen vodka lemonade to get the party started. Another frozen highlight: the Blue Raspberry with Bacardi Superior rum and a floater of dark rum. There’s a full bar, so you can also order off-menu if you’d like.

The prices are super reasonable for Ocean Drive – good luck finding better and cheaper drinks on this side of town.

The Lobster Shack

The Lobster Shack is mostly known for its lobster rolls (as it should be), but their bar program is equally exceptional. Expect a full bar with stiff drinks like the South Beach Mojito and Soon to Be Famous Rum Punch to help you cool off.

That said, nothing is as refreshing as the Shack’s signature froze (frozen rose), which is served all day long. It’s so good that one isn’t enough: Opt for the pitcher while you do some fun people-watching. This frozen drink is available at both locations.

Monty’s Raw Bar

Monty’s Raw Bar has always been one of Miami’s top spots for frozen cocktails. The drinks here are strong and affordable, plus the waterfront view and vibes are hard to beat in the area.

Among the many frozen drinks up for grabs: pina colada, rum runner, lime margaritas, mango margaritas and the famous Miami Vice, which mixes a rum runner and pina colada. Needless to say, you should definitely Uber or Lyft here.

Pro tip: Try to come at off-hours as the place can get very busy, and no reservations are accepted – it’s first come, first serve.

Monty’s Raw Bar is located at 2550 S Bayshore Dr, Miami, FL 33133. For more information, visit their official website.

Wet Willie’s

No frozen drink list is complete without mentioning the iconic Wet Willie’s. Yes, it’s a chain but you won’t find a larger frozen drink selection anywhere in Miami.

The venue specializes in daiquiris, with everything from classic flavors like strawberry and mango to fun creations like the appropriately named Call-A-Cab and the Attitude Improvement.

The names may be playful, but these concoctions pack some serious alcohol. FYI: They are on the sweeter side, so if that’s not your thing, you may want to steer clear.

Wet Willie’s is located at 760 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.
