Where to Go When You Don’t Feel Like Eating Your Lunch

Sometimes, the meal you packed for work won’t cut it. When you don’t feel like eating your bag lunch, these Miami restaurants have you covered with delicious and fast selections.

CJ’s Crab Shack

If you don’t mind getting a little messy, CJ’s Crab Shack will help you forget your lame lunch. Snow crab is the main attraction here, so get to crackin’. Otherwise, we highly recommend the shrimp po’ boy and grouper sandwich for a memorable lunch that’s easier on the wet wipes. You can even make a meal out of a few appetizers like buffalo wings and crab. CJ’s Crab Shack is all about options.

CJ’s Crab Shack is located at 600 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Lobster Shack

Swap your bland sandwich for something way better: a lobster roll from South Beach’s Lobster Shack. The casual eatery is known for its awesome rolls, which can be served warm or chilled. Either preparation is the right choice, and there’s plenty of non-lobster fare to be enjoyed, too, including tacos, salads, and more. Best of all, you won’t be breaking the bank. There’s also a full bar, so if you decide to indulge, we won’t tell your boss.

Lobster Shack has multiple locations on Miami Beach. For more information, visit their official website.

Meet Dalia

Meet Dalia on Miami Beach lets you visit the Mediterranean without leaving the 305. The Ocean Drive gem serves up no shortage of appetizing fare for lunch (or any time, really). Expect to find dips, salads, Mediterranean pizzas, and specialties galore including roasted cauliflower, chicken kebabs, falafel pita wraps, and lobster pasta. This is a place best enjoyed with others, so invite a coworker or two to make the most of the menu.

Meet Dalia is located at 640 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Planta Queen

Coconut Grove’s Planta Queen may be 100% vegan, but even carnivores will be impressed by the flavors that await at this gorgeous restaurant. One taste of items like the crispy rice with ahi watermelon, the bao sliders with chick’n fried mushrooms and the Peking jackfruit will wow even the most discerning diners. Good luck finding a plant-based spot with so many different options.

Planta Queen is located at 3015 Grand Avenue, Coconut Grove, FL 33133. For more information, visit their official website

Wabi Sabi

For something on the lighter side, Wabi Sabi is a must. The laidback Japanese eatery is all about sushi while throwing in a few healthy bowls for good measure. If you’re more into the former, you can’t go wrong with the salmon avocado maki or a few nigiri and sashimi; order one of the omakase selections if you want a nice sampler. If you’re going the bowl route, the Wabi Sabi is loaded with salmon, tuna, and blue crab; words don’t do it justice. You’ll be tempted to order everything, but don’t do it. Trust us: You’ll be back.

Wabi Sabi is located at 851 NE 79th Street, Miami, FL 33138. For more information, visit their official website
