Where to Grab Drinks in Miami

“Let’s grab a drink sometime.” When someone says that phrase, what restaurants or bars do you think of? These tried-and-true establishments are great for grabbing a drink, no matter the occasion.

Barsecco

Over in Brickell, Barsecco is the ultimate late-night spot for drinks. The neighborhood institution features no shortage of cocktails, wine, and beer, served alongside a globally inspired menu. Signature drinks include playful concoctions like the tequila-based Release the Kraken and the namesake gin and tonic. Tropical cocktails, classics, and martinis round out the spirits side of things. For a more chill vibe (vs. the usual nightclub ambiance), come early to avoid the crowds.

Bar Kaiju

Located on the second floor of The Citadel food hall in Little River, Bar Kaiju is the place for adventurous drinkers. The creative masterminds behind the bar have come up with a monster-inspired cocktail list that doesn’t disappoint. What we love the most are the details: They go all out in explaining the drinks, so you know exactly what you’re getting. If you want classic cocktails, they can do that, too. While the bar itself doesn’t offer bar snacks (except for special events), you can always go downstairs and visit all the food booths.

Bar Kaiju is located at 8300 NE 2nd Ave, 2nd Floor, Miami, FL 33138. For more information, visit their official Instagram

Cana Wine Shop

Elevate your wine time with a trip to Cana Wine Shop on Coral Way. More than just a store, it’s a cozy space to savor a carefully curated selection of wines by the glass and bites from The Wagyu Bar a few doors down. If you’re looking for a bottle to enjoy at home, the knowledgeable staff has you covered with dozens of delectable selections up for grabs. Know what you want already? Order online to save some time. And make sure to follow them on social media to find out about upcoming events and tastings.

Cana Wine Shop is located at  2207 Coral Way, Miami, FL 33145. For more information, visit their official website

Mac’s Club Deuce

When it comes to dive bars, few places measure up to Mac’s Club Deuce on South Beach. The cash-only institution is one of the oldest bars in South Florida, and it’s like stepping into a time machine: The rustic décor, pool tables, and jukeboxes give this venue some character that you don’t see much of these days in the 305.

What we love most about this place is its hours: It’s open from 8 a.m. to 5 a.m. every day, and early risers and night owls are welcome. Don’t expect much in the way of a drink menu, though: We usually stick to beer.

Mac’s Club Deuce is located at 222 14th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.

RED South Beach

RED South Beach is a restaurant that has earned a stellar reputation as one of the best steakhouses in town. The restaurant’s drink menu, however, tends to fly under the radar—and it’s a darn shame.

As you would expect from a steakhouse, martinis are a big deal here and RED’s Double Dirty is a must: Belvedere vodka, truffle olive brine, and blue cheese stuffed olives—enough said. Other standouts include RED’s gin-based Wildflower and the Four Roses bourbon-based Cardboard Plane. Of course, the talented bar team can make you anything you want, too. Not a cocktail person? Check out the extensive wine list, which will definitely have something you like. Be on the lookout for specials on social media.

Sweet Liberty

Few bars in Miami have received the rave reviews and awards that Sweet Liberty has gotten over the years. It’s consistently known as one of the best bars in the country, and you need to experience it firsthand. The bartenders here aren’t afraid to have some fun: Start with the Miami-inspired drinks like the spiced pineapple daiquiri and the tropical negroni and work your way from there. Whether you want something light or something boozy, the enormous cocktail menu has you covered (as do the equally extensive food offerings)

Sweet Liberty is located at 237 20th St, Suite B, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Toscana Divino

Immerse yourself in the warmth of Italian hospitality as you explore the extensive wine selection at Toscana Divino, a Brickell favorite. The area hotspot boasts a ton of wines by the bottle for your enjoyment, including many rare finds. While wine is the main attraction here, the restaurant also features an array of tasty cocktails and beers if that’s more your style. No matter what you get, it’ll pair well with the eatery’s fresh pastas and other delicious cuisine.
