Tanuki River Landing

Asian Fusion | Miami
Step into Tanuki River Landing, a newly-opened Miami Beach eatery named after the cheery Japanese raccoon dog known for inviting gastronomes in for a jolly good time. Indubitably this groovy Asian fusion restaurant offers delectable bites inspired by Japanese and Chinese cuisines. The boho chic setting features teak furniture, dim lighting, and vines cascading from the ceiling, making this a perfect backdrop for an upbeat yet intimate date night or a night out with the besties. But first things first, take a seat on the restaurant’s patio overlooking Miami River and get yourself a refreshing craft cocktail like the Riverview Mule made with passionfruit sake and ginger beer. On the menu, Brand Chef Gustavo Montes sprinkles a good dose of traditional Asian cooking technique with a dash of Latin twists, a la ode to Miami. There’s sashimi, nigiri, noodles, and dim sum to pass around the table, not to mention whole Peking duck and proteins straight off the fire. Some solid novel dishes include the crispy short rib fried rice, karaage chicken and watermelon maki, and a mango-mirin-glazed grilled salmon. Diners also have the option of indulging in a brilliant omakase experience. A downright catch here, aside from the fish, is the weekly promos. Savor the weekday happy hour, prix-fix lunch, maki Mondays, and live DJ sets by the river every Friday and Saturday. Trust us, there are enough delicacies and action going around that you’ll be following the tanuki into River Landing on any given day of the week.
