Hidden in the heart of the Upper East Side, Wabi Sabi is where zen meets flavor in a sushi haven. Imagine fresh, seasonal seafood flown in straight from Japan transformed into artfully hand-rolled sushi or customizable bowls. The Wabi Sabi bowl is our ideal go-to lunch. For $26, you get a bowl filled to the brim with fresh salmon, tuna, blue crab meat, and shiitake atop a base of your choice (rice, soba, or mixed greens) and loaded with fresh veggies, seaweed salad, and an umami-rich dressing. Wabi Sabi’s ever-evolving menu will keep you hooked, offering a chill escape from the city’s hustle.
Yes, yes, y’all, the holy month for Miami foodies is finally here. August is when Miami Spice is in full swing, and this year many of our favorite restaurants are participating. Luckily, Kissaki is no exception. The South of Fifth Kaiseki restaurant is bringing the heat with its $45 3-course dinner menu. Starters include options like hamachi tiradito with serrano chilis and sudashi-soy or Chef’s signature 4-piece nigiri flight. For entrees, there’s miso black cod or wagyu fried rice topped with a poached egg. Then, for dessert, choose between bruleed torija, bourbon-spiked peach cobbler, or ice cream. We can’t wait.
It’s National Rum Day, and there’s no better place to turn up than CJ’s Crab Shack on Ocean Drive. The rum-based concoctions at CJ’s are on point. A prime example: Chris’s Famous Rum Punch, positively loaded with Bacardi, Bacardi oak heart, and Bacardi cuatro rums with a blend of fruit juices. Want to flex a little more? Grab it in a CJ’s Souvenir Cup for just $3 extra and keep the party going. Pair your sips with some shareable appetizers like the crispy Southern fried grouper fingers, spinach, and artichoke crab dip, or the cheesy garlic butter baked oysters. It’s a rum-fueled, seafood feast that’s gonna have you vibing all day long.
