Piña Colada Paradise at Voodoo Doughnut
Summer may be winding down, but Voodoo Doughnut is sending us off with one last tropical sugar rush. From Monday, August 24 through Sunday, August 30, the Wynwood shop is serving its limited-edition Piña Colada Paradise doughnut, created in collaboration with Captain Morgan. The $4.50 doughnut comes loaded with piña colada-flavored frosting, a strawberry frosting drizzle, pineapple fluff, toasted coconut, and Captain Morgan’s crossed-swords detail. It’s a piña colada in doughnut form—and it’s only around for one week.

Where Land Meets Sea at Klaw
Two of Miami’s standout kitchens are joining forces for a dinner that takes the land-and-sea concept seriously. On Wednesday, August 26, Klaw welcomes Michelin-starred Tambourine Room by Tristan Brandt for “Where Land Meets Sea,” a six-course tasting experience showcasing both restaurants. The evening starts with rooftop cocktails and canapés before moving into Klaw’s dining room for dishes including snapper semi-crudo with warm red curry and basil oil, Norwegian king crab with lemon-garlic butter, lobster agnolotti with local corn and smoked chile oil, and American Wagyu eye of ribeye with baby potatoes and pickled onion.
The menu highlights Florida’s coastal bounty and premium ingredients from farther afield, including Klaw’s Norwegian crab flown in from the Barents Sea. The experience runs from 5:30–8:30 p.m. and is priced at $255++ per person, with wine pairings available for an additional charge. Reservations are required; reserve your seat here.

Take Your Dog to the Movies
Your dog has watched you spend $18 on a cocktail, drag them around South Beach for no reason, and sit patiently outside every restaurant that says “no dogs.” The least you can do is take them to the movies. On Wednesday, August 26, Rooftop Cinema Club’s Wooftops is bringing Miami pups onto the rooftop for an 8 p.m. screening of Marley & Me. Come early to let your four-legged date settle in, grab a drink and some snacks, and take in the skyline before the inevitable Jennifer Aniston-induced emotional damage begins.

National Red Wine Day at Carpaccio
National Red Wine Day is Friday, and we can’t think of a better excuse to settle in for a glass at Carpaccio. The Bal Harbour Shops staple has been serving its polished take on Italian for over three decades, with an extensive wine list that makes it especially worth a visit for anyone who likes to browse the bottle list almost as much as the menu. The selection leans heavily Italian, spanning regions across the country, with plenty of American and international bottles to explore.
Pair your pick with Carpaccio classics like beef carpaccio, creamy burrata with prosciutto, or veal scaloppini. Whether you grab a table inside for a more polished atmosphere or settle onto the palm-lined terrace for prime Bal Harbour people-watching, Friday is a good day to make a meal out of red wine.
YASU Omakase x Shichiken Sake
For one night only, YASU Omakase is bringing a taste of Yamanashi to the Design District. On Friday, August 28, Chef Yasu Tanaka teams up with Shichiken Sake, a historic brewery from his hometown in Japan, for an intimate 10-course omakase paired with five sake selections. The dinner features rare bottles hand-carried from Japan, including Shichiken’s celebrated sparkling sake and other selections not typically available in Miami.
Tanaka’s omakase will spotlight seafood flown in from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market alongside premium Florida fish, with each course paired specifically with the evening’s sake lineup. The experience is limited to two seatings at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., with only eight or nine guests per seating. Tickets are $395 per person, and each guest will also take home a gift from the brewery. If you’re into serious sushi and sake, this is one for the calendar.

Fashion Paw-ty: Paws & Pose at Kiki on the River
Miami’s most stylish pups are taking over Kiki on the River to close out National Dog Day week. On Saturday, August 29, the waterfront Greek hotspot hosts Fashion Paw-ty: Paws & Pose, an afternoon of brunch, cocktails, and a full-on doggy fashion show that runs 1–5 p.m. The $99 Paw-Ty Pass includes a signature brunch entrée, your choice of a Barkarita or rosé, plus a welcome pup cup and waffle treat for your four-legged plus-one.
The event donates 25% of each pass sold to a local dog rescue. The afternoon kicks off with brunch at 1:30 p.m., followed by the fashion competition at 2:30 p.m., where 20–25 pups will compete for prizes including a private Kiki yacht charter and a Faena day pass. There will also be a live DJ, custom pet portraits, photo ops, and a Pup-Up Boutique for some canine shopping.
