What to Do in Miami This Week [Nov 3-9]
Lasagna at Ironside Pizza

There’s always something brewing at Ironside Pizza—and it’s not just the dough. The artsy hideaway keeps its creative streak alive with another Nightshift event, this time spotlighting local artist Juanita Villegas, who left her 9-to-5 to pursue art full-time. Guests can hear her story firsthand and watch her bring portraits to life on the spot. Expect inspiration, conversation, and that unmistakable Ironside energy—where good food meets even better company.

Arrive early to catch Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m., featuring 50% off pizza, wine, and beer. Think charred margheritas, a glass (or two) of crisp white, and the sun slipping behind the trees as conversation hums around you. By the time the event begins, Ironside’s courtyard transforms into what it does best—a living canvas of food, art, and connection.

Thursday, November 6: Happy Hour at Loretta and the Butcher

- -

Loretta and the Butcher rolls out a happy hour that’s as generous as it is satisfying: 2-for-1 beer and wine from 3 to 6 p.m., plus $10 bites that highlight the kitchen’s signature comfort-meets-flavor approach. Expect toasted provoleta, parrilerra sausage with spicy mustard, and grilled mollejas that vanish faster than your first glass of Malbec. It’s the kind of menu that feels like a sneak peek into dinner—except lighter, cheaper, and just as craveable.

Lingering till dinner? Here’s what to order: perfectly creamy risotto with grilled asparagus, portobello mushrooms, and just the right amount of truffle; juicy skirt steak fresh off the grill; or the legendary ossobuco (braised veal). No fluff here, folks—just good drinks, honest food, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back long after happy hour ends.

Friday, November 7: Dinner at Bakalò

- -

Bakalò has always carried the breezy charm of the Mediterranean, but its new chapter feels more grounded—and more soulful. Now under Turkish ownership and with a new chef leading the kitchen, this South Beach favorite has found fresh rhythm in its Aegean roots.

The menu leans into bold, heartfelt flavors: babaganoush and fava puree that are next-level silky, chargrilled artichokes kissed with lemon, and the chef’s signature Adana kebap layered with spice, smoke, bulgur pilaf, and of course, sumac onions. There’s the oh-so-comforting fire-roasted eggplant with Turkish meatballs, and even familiar bites like spanakopita and herby lamb chops feel brighter, lighter, reimagined. Bakalò’s refresh doesn’t just reinvent—it reconnects. What was once a Greek taverna at heart now beats with a broader Mediterranean soul, bridging the coasts of Turkey and Greece in one long, sun-drenched feast.

Saturday, November 8: Dinner at Mignonette

- -

This Saturday, make it Mignonette. No need to dress up for the occasion—though you could, because this place somehow makes oysters feel like a party and a date night rolled into one. The vibe is Old Miami meets rock ‘n’ roll elegance. The kind of spot where chefs shuck under a glowing marquee, and you start wondering why all seafood doesn’t taste this alive.

Go fancy with the Florida black grouper paired with saffron-kissed couscous and tart cherries, or keep it plain with a perfectly crispy-skinned snapper and beurre blanc. Either way, you’re golden. Sharing an oyster flight is a must, as is an order of the lobster deviled eggs. Get a glass of chilled bubbly, and know you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Before you go, the Heath Bar butterscotch bread pudding demands your loyalty.

Mignonette is located at 210 NE 18th Street, Miami, FL 33132. For more information, visit their official website
