What to Do in Miami This Week [Oct 27-Nov 2]
Kitchen 57

This just in: stone crab season has officially kicked off in Miami, and we’re not waiting a second longer to dig in. For the ultimate mid-week treat, find us at Glass and Vine in Coconut Grove, where they truly know crab. Nestled in a secret garden by the sea, guests are invited to slow down and unwind with shareable plates highlighting locally-sourced ingredients and, of course, impeccable vino.

We’re starting the evening with a round of stone crab claws paired with sparkling wine before moving on to white. Because this is an affair made for sharing, we’re going all in: hamachi tartare in watermelon aguachile, Florida papaya paired with Iberico acorn-fed ham, and otherworldly pesto-dressed gnocchi mingling with lobster and more crab. Oof. Bonus: Wednesday nights come with smooth live jazz from Russ Spiegel. That’s our idea of a Miami oasis.

Glass & Vine is located at 2820 McFarlane Road, Miami, FL 33133. For more information, visit their official website or call 305-930-8434.

Friday, October 31: Noche de los Muertos at Barsecco

Barsecco

Brickell’s favorite day-to-night escape gets a darker edge this Halloween. On Friday, October 31, Barsecco transforms for Noche de los Muertos, blending its signature terrace buzz with a dose of afterlife glamour. The open-air lounge glows with candlelight and sultry performances, DJs layering wicked beets over the hum of clinking glasses. Guests drift between tables stacked with truffle fries, tuna poppy tataki, and birria taquitos, while bartenders shake zesty Vampiritos laced with Jose Cuervo Cristalino and spicy cucumber margaritas

Step inside right into the Dia de los Muertos edition of Sala de Despecho—Barsecco’s moody karaoke, where heartbreak meets bottles of Don Julio—and get ready to sing your heart out in the snazziest Halloween fit you’ve got. Expect mysterious surprises and don’t go home before midnight.

Saturday, November 1: Grillin’ & Chillin’ Saturdays at Kitchen 57

- -

Now Saturdays are filled up with smoke over at Kitchen57. Every weekend, the local hangout fires up the grill for Grillin’ & Chillin’, a laid-back dinner session made for friends, good vibes, and finger-licking plates. The rotating BBQ lineup hits all the right notes—expect options like baby back ribs lacquered in house sauce, jalapeño & cheddar sausage with a kick, and even BBQ calamari for a coastal twist. Each feast lands with Brussels sprouts, yuca fries, and Texas toast on the side, because balance is overrated but flavor isn’t.

Order dinner for two or four ($50/$90) and settle in as the sun dips and the smoke drifts through the air. It’s casual, soulful, and unmistakably Miami—no fuss, just fire, friends, and a cold drink in hand. Make sure to follow Kitchen57 on Instagram for the latest barbecue menus.

Sunday, November 2: Bottomless Brunch at Phuc Yea

- -

Phuc Yea is flipping the script on lazy Sunday vibes with Chef Cesar Zapata’s biscuits you’ll be getting up bright and early for—flaky, buttery, and worthy of every Food & Wine headline they ever earned. Black sesame honey butter gives them a subtle nutty twist, or pile them high with fried chicken, lemongrass, Cajun spice, house pickles, and a fried egg for a banh mi that could start a street-food cult. The Phuc Yea way.

But we’re on about more than biscuits. At brunch, sancocho pho bubbles with smoked short rib, plantain, yuca, and chili oil. Green curried shakshuka is baked, spicy, and unapologetic. Dirty tots are laced with pork belly, cheddar, and fried egg. Finish with croissant French toast, rum custard, and dark chocolate. $25 bottomless Tropi-mosas—guava, mango, passion fruit—make it endless. See ya there from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Phuc Yea is located at 7100 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33138. For more information, visit their official website
