Where to Celebrate Your Anniversary in Miami

Whether it’s your 1-year dating anniversary or your 20-year wedding anniversary, a special milestone deserves a special celebration. At these spectacular restaurants, there’s no shortage of great food to mark the occasion.

Buya Izakaya + Yakitori

Wynwood’s Buya is a casual spot that serves up serious fare. This Japanese restaurant is all about shareable small plates, so ordering 2-3 dishes per person is a good and tasty excuse to cozy up with your partner. The menu is extensive, so here are a few musts: seaweed salad, tempura beech mushroom, Karaage chicken, crispy duck ramen, and yellowtail snapper. Throw in a bottle of sake, and you’re set.

Buya Izakaya + Yakitori is located at 250 NW 24th Street, Miami, FL 33127. For more information, visit their official website

Casa Isola

Italian food is synonymous with romance, and Casa Isola in Miami Beach is the perfect spot for a lovely evening out with your boo. It’s hard not to want to order everything, but trust us when we say you’ll be back. A few of the many highlights here: the burrata Panzanella, rigatoni alla vodka, veal chop parm, and bucatini alla gricia. If your anniversary happens to fall on a Sunday, the Sunday Sauce with short rib meatball, pork rib, and Italian sausage should be top of mind.

Casa Isola is located at 1418 20th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Hiyakawa

Feel like splurging for some of the best sushi in town? Consider grabbing a table at Wynwood’s Hiyakawa. The upscale Japanese eatery boasts an incredible menu of nigiri, maki, and other specialties that will make your jaw drop. While you could order a la carte, just do a tasting—it takes out the guesswork, and you’ll be treated to an experience like no other. As we mentioned, it is pricey but the premium is definitely worth it.

Hiyakawa is located at 2700 North Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33127. For more information, visit their official website

INTIMO

Peruvian-Japanese cuisine is the star at INTIMO by Juan Chipoco. If that name rings a bell, it’s because the restauranteur is behind beloved concepts like CVI.CHE 105 and Pollos y Jarras, which have locations across the county. While more upscale than those concepts, INTIMO is just as approachable and amazing. Hot appetizers, cold appetizers, rolls… There’s a little bit of everything here. The drink list is just as diverse, but if it’s your first time, don’t leave without a pisco sour.

INTIMO is located at 840 1st Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Jattö

New world cuisine awaits at Jattö, an internationally inspired restaurant from the chef/owner behind B Bistro + Bakery, who is there nightly crafting magic in the kitchen.  The menu pulls influences from Peru, Colombia, and Spain—to name a few spots—so expect to see selections like fufu croquetas, ikura arepas, stone crab causa, and huancaina chicken, but expect them to be extraordinary versions of themselves.  Make sure to check out the whimsical cocktail menu that includes drinks like a flash-carbonated mojito and watermelon mezcal-rita.

Jattö is located at 223 NW 23rd Street, Miami, FL 33127. For more information, visit their official website

RED South Beach

A steakhouse is always a safe bet for an anniversary, and RED South Beach never disappoints. The steakhouse is consistently listed on the best of lists for good reason: Chef Peter Vauthy puts his heart and soul into the menu. You’ll find all sorts of cuts on the menu: certified Angus beef prime ribeye, c.a.b. filet mignon, c.a.b. bone-in porterhouse… The list goes on and on. There are also a ton of seafood and other non-meat options to enjoy—and they’re all as good as the steaks.

RED South Beach is located at 801 South Pointe Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Toscana Divino

Restaurants in Miami don’t have the longest track records. Eateries come and go pretty fast, so you know something has to be good if it has stuck around for a while. Enter Toscana Divino, the go-to place in Brickell for pasta and anything Italian food. The iconic restaurant is the heart of Mary Brickell Village and features a menu of hearty delights like cacio e pepe, white truffle tagliatelle, and veal ossobuco. It’s also home to one of the largest wine lists in Miami—over a thousand bottles to choose from.

Toscana Divino is located at 900 South Miami Avenue, #185, Miami, FL 33130. For more information, visit their official website
