Thursday at the CJ’s Crab Shack
It’s Thirsty Thursday and we’re hanging out at CJ’s Crab Shack! With an impressive selection of boozy hand-crafted cocktails and a prime Ocean Drive location the shack is the perfect spot to relax and recline after a work day, drink in hand.
There are plenty of filling family recipes to choose from here to balance out the refreshing cocktails. The creamy artichoke and crab dip is a must, as is the Granddaddy GUS infamous crab cake stuffed inside of a crab shell. The place is known for its crab after all so we won’t be missing out on the snow crab clusters nor on the Alaskan king crab dinner with parmesan corn on the cob on the side. Too much crab? Never!
Friday at Costa Med
Friday we’re spending a day out in Key Biscayne and some Mediterranean appetizers in a quaint bistro setting are the perfect ending to a day. That’s exactly why you’ll find us at Costa Med Bistro. The neighborhood favorite has plenty of alluring bites to share with a group of friends over a bottle of chilled wine.
Start with the classic and oh-so-aromatic escargots sauteed in white wine with shallots and garlic. Then move on to the black Angus filet mignon steak tartare served with a quail yolk. The best in town, quite arguably. Then indulge in the burrata & prosciutto served on a fresh tomato carpaccio. Lastly, the cheese plate always finds its way onto our table—that’s three seasonal imported cheeses served with fig marmalade, honey, fruits, and nuts. Even if you’re just stopping by for appetizers, the service is so warm and the atmosphere so bubbly making it a Key Biscayne must.
Saturday at Cafe Americano
Join us for bottomless brunch at Cafe Americano in Brickell! Ever since this fresh-on-the-scene Latin-inspired diner rolled out its bottomless brunch we have been Obsessed. Capital O. Gather your brunch besties and run, don’t walk, to Cafe Americano where for just $25 you can get unlimited mimosas and bellinis. The drinks are prepared right at the table and you can even choose your own fresh-pressed juice. We can’t think of a more beautiful start to the morning!
Now while we’re getting pampered with the drinks let us flip through the food menu because it’s equally as impressive. Honing in on the Latin roots, there are ranchero eggs benedict served with carnitas, black beans, green tomatillo salsa, and chipotle salsa roja. The spicy chicken & waffles are a special treat of their own—that’s the crispiest fried chicken with a hot honey maple drizzle and dusted with gold flakes. Divine! Looking for something a tad healthier? We can’t stop raving about the avocado burrata toast (do add a poached egg on top, trust us). If you thought avo toast was out, think again. This banger is bringing it back.
Sunday at Kuba Cabana
And the brunch doesn’t stop! Join us at Kuba Cabana for yet another indulgent day of brunch specialties. Why not treat yourself, it’s the weekend after all! The boisterous Latin restaurant offers an absolutely tantalizing Sunday Funday Pick any 2 menu where diners can create their own ideal brunch experience for $49. The cherry on top—the price includes bottomless mimosas.
So what’s on the menu? The yuca-lote is a customer fave, featuring elote-style fried yuca with mojo crema and cotija. Another must-have is the frita burger, an ultimate brunch-time indulgence made with double-smashed patties topped with chorizo jam, cheese, and ultra-crispy papitas all nestled atop a Cuban roll. There’s plenty more to choose from the raw bar menu and more substantial eats as well, so we reckon Kuba Cabana might just become a monthly brunch tradition.
Kuba Cabana is located at 3450 NW 83rd Ave #140, Doral, FL 33122. For more information, visit their official website.
