Old Lisbon

Portuguese
Old Lisbon is a cherished destination for authentic Portuguese cuisine in South Florida, boasting three distinctive locations: Miami, South Miami, and Aventura. Established in 1991, the Miami flagship introduced diners to Portugal’s rich culinary heritage through an open kitchen concept. The South Miami branch, launched nearly two decades later, offers a refined ambiance, while the Aventura location, opened in 2024, features an upscale bar and outdoor terrace.

Each location presents a menu rooted in traditional Portuguese flavors. Signature dishes include bacalhau à brás—shredded cod with onions, garlic, string potatoes, and scrambled eggs—and parrilhada de mariscos, a grilled seafood medley featuring lobster, scallops, shrimp, and more in a white wine and garlic sauce. Appetizers like bolinhos de bacalhau (codfish croquettes) and chouriço assado (flaming Portuguese sausage) set the stage for a memorable meal.

Complementing the cuisine is an extensive selection of Portuguese wines, including Old Lisbon’s private labels, and a variety of Port wines aged up to 40 years. Desserts such as pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts) and pudim português (Port wine flan) provide a sweet conclusion to the dining experience.
